I always likes when teams added color to the endzones for the playoffs.  Bucs have done this before as well.

I wish Madden 23 would update the 49ers midfield logo. They have the helmet on the end-zone that you see on the twitter video on the midfield in the game. They updated the Browns midfield logo when Cleveland introduced the elf, but not the 49ers?

Better than white at least. A bit strange how this combo is rarely worn during the regular season but has now been worn in the postseason twice since 2019.

The last time the all purple, the regular one, was worn at home was against the Packers many years ago at the HHH dome.

This is the opposite of the week 16 meeting. I guess this avoids too much white.

The two seasons after that are when they have mixed in some random white at home games, like against Carolina. They still seem to mostly prefer to wear red for prime time games and late afternoon games in the second half of the season.

Remember when they wore the white jerseys at home against the Giants in the playoffs?  That was years ago.

January can still be pretty warm in Florida. It's not as brutal from December to May, like it is afterwards, but still hot.

Bucs social media has multiple ads for the game with players in white jerseys. I find that disappointing. Could be a Cowboys curse thing or a "We won the Super Bowl when we did this once, so let's do it again even though we did it last year and lost"

I'd say it's the latter. Considering that Tampa Bay did WAH against the Eagles and Rams last year.

I wonder if Dallas would do the same thing the 1985-1986 Patriots did. When New England wore their red colors  when they were a white-at-home team at the time, and making the Super Bowl winning all playoff games on the road.

Not a very good round of matchups tbh. Buffalo probably goes all-blue, I don’t trust Baltimore to leave the black pants at home and Minnesota’s socks will prevent me from completely loving that matchup.

Bucs/Cowboys looks like the big winner here.

Are the Bucs still going with white jerseys at home for the playoffs? Or will they go with red tops this time? If they wear the red jerseys, lets hope they pair those with the pewter pants, because the white pants ruin it.

The Seahawks normally wear their blue pants when playing at San Francisco. But could they try a different combo for this time around?

Jacksonville hasn't worn the teal tops and white pants combo at home. If the Jaguars wear those and the Chargers in either yellow or white pants with the white jerseys, it would be a good uniform matchup,.

Miami at Buffalo, New York Giants at Minnesota, and Baltimore at Cincinnati should be different from the previous time around of those games.

Alternates can be worn three times and they are suddenly not using them that many times after doing it before.

Probably because the team has taken more liking to the regular aquas in the midst of the white-at-home games that they can't help.

There's a reason why some teams don't go to the max on alternates/throwbacks; to ensure that the primary jerseys are seen enough times at the home stadium. That's probably why the Panthers haven't worn the alternate blues at home these last two years, and it's probably why teams won't mind wearing them on the road. The Jets wearing the gotham green jersey only once is appalling. When they did wear the gotham green it was monochrome green, an d there's an overkill of monochrome uniforms by teams.

There will still be one of two major issues with either of those scenarios, depending on who wins CIN/BAL Sunday.

If Bengals win and Bills both win, the Bengals lost the opportunity to pass them for the 2 seed and would have to travel to Buffalo should they both win in the first round. If they're kicking around neutral site games, that one should be as well. This is doubly important in the scenario they presented where the 2 seed would get homefield in the AFC championship game.

If the Bengals lose, then the Ravens lost the opportunity to win the AFC North. I don't know how they could rectify that, but it wasn't even mentioned in the video.

These solutions only even attempt to "solve" the issues between the 1 seed and 2 seed, as if that was all that was left to determine. 4 of the top 5 seeds were affected by this, and none of the others are addressed at all.

Here's another thing. The Bills and Bengals may both finish 1st in their respective divisions. The AFC North hosts the AFC East for 2023. Buffalo would visit Cincinnati for that placement game. Would the league want to make that game be on a neutral site? To wash away the bad memory of the tragedy?

Crap I thought the Eagles could only wear the all-black clown suit twice, but looks like it's three times.  Part of me hopes they get eliminated in those uniforms and decide they're bad luck.

Teams are allowed to wear their alternates/throwbacks 3 times. This was decreed since 2018. But the league doesn't make clear what the parameters are, like for regular season, preseason, and postseason. The Eagles can wear both the black uniform and the kelly green throwback they've been planning to bring back. Depending which one the team likes more, they'll wear one of them once more than the other.

Eagles have always worn all black against the Giants since 2014. With the exception of 2017, because that game was in September where it's warm.

  9. The Bills and Bengals could draw each other and have the match in Cincinnati again next year, if they end up finishing in the same place. Maybe we'll see the uniform matchup that we want to see in the possible next meeting? If they draw each other. Lamar isn't going to suit up for the Ravens, and if he misses the game against Cincinnati then the Bengals will win.

For all other teams, it is three total. This is why the Saints wore Color Rush twice this year and throwback once. 49ers did two throwback, one Color Rush. Bengals wore the white tiger twice and the orange only once. The Ravens either have their own set of rules or seek an exemption every year.

Is it the former or the latter? How does the league keep allowing the Ravens to violate the limit they set in 2018?

Seattle wore their alternates 4 times in 2019 too. Jacksonville was allowed to wear teal 5 times, both in regular and preseason, when teal was their alternate.
