Yup, they are going white at home vs. San Fran. That’s two errors on SF’s uni schedule.

Still using the bone jersey unfortunately.

Bone at Arizona again. And I was sure they would wear the white jerseys at IND, but that will not be the case.

WAH for Cleveland, now that is a surprise. Then again, they did something similar against the Jets in 2020. But I don't mind because that will be a good looking game. White at Dallas.  It will be 4 straight meetings LAR hasn't worn the royal blue against the Cowboys.

Seeing that the Rams still do WAH in SOFI bums me out that the Chargers aren't doing it. We've already seen the Chargers in their powder blues against the Dolphins plenty of times.

Well, of all the matchups between teams that reveal their uniform plans this late or wait until the week of, Ravens-Chargers has been ruined for me. Then again, we know these crashers are inevitable every season. All the Bolts had to do was go with the standard power blue jersey (don't care for their pant selection) for that SNF game and all is good on their end; I would have even accepted them going royal blue if they truly insisted on wearing an alternate come game time. Hopefully the Ravens wear white/purple that night and show up as the best dressed team.

Baltimore could also wear the all white combo.

They'll play each other again next year in 2024. The Chargers could wear powder blue next meeting.

Time out...have I been in a fog or something? When did LAC go to being WAH? (Admittedly I don't keep tabs on what goes on out west—usually because I'm sleep by the time they get going—so I hadn't realized that if they did.) Now, with that said...I'm not on Twitt—um, X, to know what the Snatit's uniform schedule is, but going by the above post they're going WAH against a team whose primary color is pretty much the same as theirs...and why do socmany NFL teams do this again?

They were a WAH team until last year. Before last year, the Chargers wore their white jerseys for 2, or even 3, homes games early in the season.

If you think this is a lot of navy, get ready for Titans Bears on Saturday. At least the Texans have red jersey numbers and the Pats have silver lids, but literally every element in that game will either be navy or white.

Tennessee has red and columbia blue to set apart from Chicago.

The game that you're going to get where the two teams are so close to each other is Broncos vs Bears in week 4. Both teams are navy and orange.

This is pretty much how its been every year since 2019, with 2021 being the only exception when they wore orange THREE times. Even before the white helmet they still preferred the old white Color Rush look to the orange jersey. I don't get it either.

I wish they would at least wear it against teams like this rather than the Chiefs or Steelers:

I wish CIN wore the orange against the Colts or Texans.

    Indianapolis Colts v Cincinnati Bengals

    Houston Texans v Cincinnati Bengals

  5. It sounds like the Texans are wearing their red jerseys with red helmets 3 times this year. One of those games might be the Steelers since they are going to honor JJ Watt. The Texans aren't going to wear the all navy color rush this year given the fact about the red jerseys. They have Arizona listed as the deep steel blue game, that's likely going to be with the regular uniform set. Houston has worn all navy against the Browns the last 3 times they hosted Cleveland. The game against Cleveland might be a red jersey game instead.

Since the Packers all green alternate/throwback was released in 2021, they have worn them for the latest October game. This year the latest October game is against the Minnesota Vikings. But Green Bay has not worn their throwback uniforms against an NFC North rival ever since the team carried throwbacks in 2010. I think the all green uniform game will be the Rams or Chargers.

Teams often wear the same alternate/throwback against the same divisional foes. The Eagles have always worn all black against the Giants, save for a couple of games. The 49ers have worn all white uniforms against the Seahawks in Seattle since 2019. I noticed that New Orleans has worn the all white color rush/throwbacks against Tampa Bay ever since the Buccaneers introduced their current uniforms in 2020.

Either way, this is a case where I'm happy Dallas isn't wearing navy because even when these teams play in Dallas, Carolina seems to avoid the black jerseys and go with blue instead. Happened 2015 and 2021.

Wasn't 2015 forced because of the color rush promotion? That year a few teams volunteered. Back then it was mandatory. But then color rush games were done away with after 2017. Which probably lead to the limit change in 2018.

The Seahawks are having their 10 year Super Bowl reunion against the Panthers so maybe they decided to wear the same uniform combo from the Super Bowl (white/navy) for this game. Hopefully it is just an error on the panthers end though because I think it’s cool that the Seahawks are the only team to never go WAH.

I'm guessing Seattle is doing the same thing that the Giants did when they played the Rams in 2021? Is it possible that the Panthers are doing the same thing when the Cardinals wore black in Seattle in 2020?

    A lot going on here:

    https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-release-2023-jersey-schedule

Black jerseys vs. Houston for the first time ever!

Black jerseys vs. Dallas at home for the first time since '07.

It says black at Seattle Week 3 and white at home for Monday night Week 2. I almost feel like these are flip-flopped and that was an error. Otherwise Seattle is likely wearing white at home for the first time ever.

Tampa once again is wearing white at home vs. Carolina late in the season. Hopefully that doesn't mean no red jerseys before that game.

Blue jersey only being worn on the road once again.

Actually, Carolina wore black against the Cowboys in 2006. The 2007 game was the blue jerseys.

  8. This came out not that long ago. https://operations.nfl.com/media/nppjkdp1/2023-record-and-fact-book.pdf

Go to pages 14-18. It tells you of the future schedules up until 2030.

For the 17th out of conference same place finishers games, 2025-2028 are a repeat of 2021-2024. But in 2029 that's when things being to change up. If you believe that or not.

I wanted to post this in the changes thread, but thought it would be better here.

The Dolphins and Bills? Sure Eagles, you had plenty of other matchups you could have worn the throwback with. Looking at your home games, Kelly Green could have been worn against another team from the NFC East, the 49ers, the Vikings, heck, even the Cardinals. With alternate uniforms, I wish teams would stop wearing alternate uniforms versus interconfertnce opponents. These teams only come to your stadium once every eight years. I don't mind it for throwbacks if the opposing team is wearing an era accurate uniform/throwback as well, but that rarely happens.

Unless they meet again because of the same place finisher that's now a thing. Courtesy of the 17 game implementation.

Please tell me we're getting a Pats/Dolphins throwback matchup in week 5?

The Patriots will be home to the Saints and the Dolphins host the Giants.

Unless Miami wears the white throwbacks for the week 2 game, they're most likely wearing their normal whites.

So this confirms the Jets will wear the black uniforms with the one remaining alternate slot, and they will wear them at home, both as expected. Looking at the schedule, I'm assuming those will be worn either on Monday Night Football against the Chargers in week 9 or on Black Friday against Miami in week 12.

The Jets have hosted MNF three times since this new uniform set was unveiled, with two against the Patriots. They wore all black with green helmets in 2020 in week 9 and all green with white socks in 2019 in week 7 against New England and wore the all black with green helmets in 2019 against the Browns in week 2.

Obviously, the Black Friday game is new. If I got to pick, I'd wear the black uniform then. It just makes too much sense.

I'm curious if they'd use the black logo if/when they go white over black at home.

I like teams wearing white jerseys at home, to see how the uniforms blend in with the home stadium and field. But last year the amount of times they did it was overkill. It was like the Jets had no identity. The only game with the gotham green jerseys was the Detroit game.

This article says the Titans inquired about wearing the Oiler throwbacks at Miami, but that it won’t be happening. I assume because Miami is wearing aqua for that Monday night game.

So it sounds like the columbia blue jersey that came with the rest of the uniform set in 2018 will be no more. Possibly making way for another alternate or throwback?

  13. Texans revealed their home game themes for 2023. The battle red will be against the Jaguars. And as usual, they'll be in all white for the home opener.

Houston will do deep steel blue against Arizona. But is it the color rush one or the regular uniform set?

The Texans have worn all navy against the Browns the last 3 meetings. Is that different this time? I was convinced Houston will do all navy against Cleveland.

The other two opponents are perfect choices. They should've chosen the Week 9 Cardinals game over the Niners. They hosted them two years ago in their regular brown over white look.

Except that game 2 years ago was when ARZ was in the uniform that they are leaving behind. I don't mind because the Cardinals have new uniform sets. But yeah, I am disappointed about the SF game. I wish it was like the 2007 game. You wanna know something? I don't know if you're aware. A lot of teams have worn their alternate or throwbacks against the 49ers. If you count what teams have an opponent wearing their third or fourth jersey against them, the 49ers are the most of all teams. After them it would be the Giants.

Good thing it's a 17 game season now. There's a chance to recover that lost opportunity. Maybe when the 49ers and Browns meet again by drawing each other?
