  1. There is something fishy here! I am on ebay 3-4 times a day. Yet somehow I missed out on a Seahawks NFC championship ring selling for 4K!? Rangers AL Championship ring selling for 4K!?

Argonauts CFL championship ring selling for 6500!?

I would have bought all 3! That is crazy! How would I have missed out?

To be honest I would have sold all 3 rings eventually for a profit but I dont understand how I missed out!? I never saw them listed till after sales were done!

And then Argonauts ring is now listed for 24K?

And whatever happened to the Denver 1998 ring sold by TJs? I cant find it anywhere?

The guy who's selling that CFL is ring a moron!! He's got a bunch of stuff on eBay all over priced. And he changes the prices on a daily basis. He'll never get any where close to $24,000 for that ring. CFL rings don't command the same type of money as Super Bowl rings.

  2. I'm schocked too. They broke a 42 year tradition. While there's a lot of diamonds on that watch, I would rather have a ring. And probibly 1/4 of the team had turned over from superbowl 43, and half the team from superbowl 40 so many of those players were not there when they received small rings after super bowl XL.

Glad the Pats and 49ers went back to rings.

I did hear that the team was so upset at losing the Super Bowl that they didn't want rings and some didn't want anything at all.

  3. Thanks Dralec for your kind words!

What's amazing about this hobby is that unlike baseball cards, you can't go out and buy a 500 page book, read it and become an expert on the subject. There is so little published information on this hobby. I spend hours each week researching rings and compiling my information in my own database.

The pictures and contributions on this board are amazing, I hope to be able to contribute to this group.

Not sure if you and others know, but Jostens will probably create fan rings again for the heat. This is a new trend that the Packers, Heat, SF Giants have offered over the last few years. If you are on a budget you can get a non-gold and cz version ring, or if you wish to spend some money, you can get a solid gold and diamond ring. I would say these rings are comparable to "B" version rings. And best of all, your last name can be displayed on the shank.

Here are two gold and diamond versions I own, with my name on the shank, ordered directly from Jostens:

Please note the pictures are not to scale, the Packers ring is about 25% larger than the Giants ring.

Yeah the Packers shareholders ring that's pictured above is massive!! I have people stopping and asking me all the time about mine. Even at Packer games people want to see it
. Did you go for the real gold or the jeweler's metal? If you got the jeweler's metal does it look good?
    Yeah real gold real diamonds

  5. lol ill never understand the NCAA. They have literally suspended kids for taking just hundreds of dollars from outside sources, but it's ok to give them thousand dollar rings, with real diamonds and gold?

The rings can be no more than $300 in value under NCAA rules. Its fake gold and fake diamonds but it still looks good and unless you follow closely no one will ever know

Exactly! They used to use real gold before prices skyrocketed! Now it's just a jewelers alloy that's used. But I have heard that the coaching staff still get real gold rings.

  6. Nah, act like you've been there before and you might get back there.

That's the thing - you may very well never get back there. I say if you win, make the most of it and don't take it for granted. If I worked my whole life to win something, I'd want my ring as flashy as possible.

make it as flashy as you want, but it also has to look good, i can have the flashiest, most expensive ring, with 200 diamonds, and be the heaviest ring ever, but if it doesn't look good, ill wear it, or even display it in any fashion

Agree 100%! A lot of the past Super Bowl

Rings remind me of that. For the most part flashy but within limits...the come the ravens

  7. Here you go....

That's nicer than most championship rings. Certainly better than the last two Packer rings.

Agreed. That seems to be a trend these days. The Conference/League championship rings looking better than the actual championship rings.

I don't entirely agree, yes they are less gaudy then the championship rings, but some of the championship rings are awesome looking at.
