  1. I don't care what anyone says. The Los Angeles Rams 1950 throwbacks are bad ass!
  2. I like the collegiate blue too. To be honest, navy blue also works well like their 1986-1987 uniforms. Plus, I think the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, Chicago Bears, and the San Diego Chargers (in my opinion) should be the only five teams to use navy blue. The Los Angeles Rams, Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and the Buffalo Bills (they have some navy blue) should drop or limit navy blue altogether.
  3. How about the navy blue from 1985-1987? Those are beauties too!!!
  4. That is the most beautiful Bengals jerseys since 1981-1996. 1997-2003 was when they added the Tiger on the sleeves and the T.V. numbers moved on the shoulders.
  5. He was a head coach for Cleveland Browns from 1975-1977 before Sam came in.
  6. Just to be a dick, I will say this This man right here is in the wrong everything. Wrong uniform, wrong sport, and plus wrong attitude. He is in the right place, but he is at the wrong sport.
  7. Ok are you fine now? HAHAHAHAHA! At least afterwards, the block numbers became plain which made the uniform decent in many ways. Yeah the gold numbers on the road whites are good, but I hated that and liked them better with just their later plain block numbers. I wonder if they used it later on!
  8. Reason why they looked so good because of the AWESOME FORREST :censored:ING GREGG! Forrest Gregg did the uniforms like that because he was in tune with Green Bay and the Packers uniform design. Same with how Vince Lombardi did the Washington Redskins 1970-1971 design. Only difference with the Redskins and Browns was the Redskins ditch the helmets by 1972 while the Browns kept the Green Bay Packers like design from 1975-1983 which they look AWESOME! Thanks for bringing this back in here. The Browns best years ever!
  9. I didn't like the white helmet when the logo looked like, Until I saw, I say make a black outline on the paw print. I like that better because the lions head they use I know it's a Mountain Lion, but the paw print looks :censored:ing awesome. Putting BC under the paw print would be awesome bigly. And the British Columbia Lion's uniforms are always good BECAUSE they utilize the black and orange much better than today's Cincinnati Bengals. With the white helmets and orange or black jerseys and white pants, the BC Lions look is excellent. But to me, my favorite CFL look is this, I wish the Rams would of took a look at how the Winnipeg Blue Bombers did royal blue and metallic gold. They made their metallic gold look more UCLA and not too khaki like. I know the Blue Bombers did have a sort of Khaki look around the early 2000's to mid 2000's, but that is why they wore the throwbacks. The throwbacks were better that it warrant them to return to the look as you see in the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 2016 uniforms.
  10. Oh god they didn't. That's why I prefer their 1980-1999 look. The 1974 look is what I like the Giants to wear now as well too. Consistent and not too over done! It's just what bothers me is that the :censored:ing road whites on the current Giants uniforms have TOO MUCH RED and not enough BLUE to have the BLUE AND RED COME TOGETHER like the 1974 and then the 1980-1999 look. Plus the grey pants make the Giants current look seem too dated and mud combo with royal blue and grey. No grey helmets, then the grey has to go. The Falcons 1978-1989 uniforms did it correct because there was enough silver on their home red uniforms to warrant the silver pants.
  11. YES! YES! More like this! MORE LIKE THIS! But you got to have red to differ from the Colts. I wonder why people want the Rams and Giants to look like the Colts so badly? Geez!
  12. They need to ditch the grey facemask and bring back the white facemask. They need to ditch the grey part of their pants piping and then fix the road whites so that blue will be prominent and that will be your giants uniforms!
  13. Another Giants uniform that is much better than what they got on right now!
  14. Oops forgot to mention this stupid look! When they added this nightmare, I couldn't even sleep at night to think what their new colors would be. Purple, Black, Silver, and Mustard Gold? OH GOD! I like me the black and silver KINGS!!! I do miss the purple and athletic gold Kings of back then, but if they changed into this it was alright. But going Sacramento Kings made them look stupid by 2000's.
  15. You know what, while we are in unpopular opinions. I got to say this at least. What is wrong with, If the color was navy blue instead of black, the brick red would of looked awesome. At least it's great. But you can't strip me from the rainbow guts! Then people seem to not like, At least they didn't add silver like they did from 1982-1986! Wrong move on their behalf!
  16. As much as I hate the uniform, their facemask is grey too. Like I said, they need to go back to this,
  17. Denver Broncos 1997 uniforms come to mind. I would re-add their blue (into navy blue) and white trim shoulders from their 1965 and 1966 look. I would just ditch the stupid swoosh and get something new!
  18. This is not an unused logo, but I like the take on undead Bucco Bruce. Whoever did this is awesome!
  19. Oh dude, sorry! I thought that was a lighter form of teal. It doesn't look aqua as aqua looks kind of like a pale cyan color. But yeah. I meant only use those four colors and ditch black. YOU KNOW WHAT, JUST TEAL, GREY, BLACK, AND WHITE LIKE THEIR 1993-2011 look. I AM STARTING TO HATE THEIR NEW LOOK NOW! NOT VERY UNIQUE TO THE MARLINS FRANCHISE! WHY DID THEY COPY THE DOLPHINS?!!!
  20. Simpler version of the pirate. Plus, the Bucs did not want to get into trouble using the skulls and crossbones as to Ron Wolf was with the Bucs and told them to not copy their logo design off the Oakland Raiders of that time since Wolf did work for the Raiders at prior. At first they were going to use a Captain Hook type pirate, but they thought it was too scary for kids if they come to football games. So they went ahead and the cartoonist who created it had decided to make it wink with his dagger in his mouth. At first Wolf didn't like the design but thought it would be at least decent looking. The logo was limited because Culverhouse was ask not to use pine green with orange and red because the uniforms would look too much like the Dolphins. The type of red they used was crimson which is why Malcolm Glazer had the red darkened which was easy to darken crimson to make it slightly a cardinal red color since cardinal red is in the crimson family of the red tones. The type of orange they used in 1976-1996 was not the same as the Denver Broncos (1981-1996 type of orange). The Bucs used an amber orange type deal. Similar to orange juice color (hence Creamsicles). The reason why a bright orange was because Culverhouse was trying to make a contrast to the Florida Orange trees and thought it would work since the Denver Broncos type of orange was too plain and would clash too much with red. The white helmets was because since pine green was not an option for Culverhouse, white reflect well for the early August to mid October heat in the southern climate. So the actually Bucs (1976-1996) colors were amber orange, crimson, and white. I can tell by this was because amber orange does not clash together with red which is why you can see the red pretty good with the uniforms or slightly. The peach orange :censored: in 2009 was way beyond meh!!! I thought that was just plain bizarre!
  21. Welcome. For your color scheme and logo source, come to me. I also knew why the Bucs went with Bucco Bruce from 1976-1996.
  22. I wish the Marlins went with aqua, yellow, coral orange (or red-orange), and white. Have the grey as their home with the aqua wordmark with yellow and coral orange trim. I don't like the two tone teal, the red-orange, yellow, black, white all in one cluster:censored: rainbow!
  23. Yes it was. It just made the block numbers look very rough. Frontiere in 2000 found a way for it to work on the new uniforms which she was wiser than Reeves and her late husband Rosenbloom. To me, I felt the white trim would of worked, but if executed right.
  24. Back in the late 1930's (1938-1939), 1940's, and the 1950's the Los Angeles Rams color has always been royal blue and athletic gold. Let me show you what was going on why the navy blue and white took place. Quoted from Helmet Huts conversation with Todd Hewitt, HH - Speaking of the Rams color schemes, why did the Rams change from blue and yellow to blue and white in 1964, which they wore for 9 years, until 1972? TH - Kind of a funny story. Before the change the Rams often wore yellow home jerseys which, as it turned out, didn't look particularly good on black and white TV, a consideration that became increasingly important at the time. So the Rams experimented with different shades of yellow until they found one that actually showed up well on TV. The problem was the shade of the yellow that worked well for TV was called "buttercup yellow". When Mr. Reeves (Dan Reeves, Rams owner 1941-1971) found out about this, he said that there was no way his team would ever wear a color called "buttercup yellow". Also, the yellow horns on the Rams helmet at the time didn't show up very well on TV either. So Mr. Reeves decided to remove yellow from the uniforms altogether, opting for a simple blue and white, which as it turned out looked great on black and white TV. Want to hear Carroll Rosenbloom's side of the story to why he brought back athletic gold? HH - Why did the Rams change back to blue and yellow uniforms in 1973, after wearing blue and white uniforms for 9 years (1964-1972)? TH - This was Mr. Rosenbloom's (Caroll Rosenbloom, Rams owner 1972-1979) idea, something he decided to do when he took over as the Rams owner in 1972. He felt the blue and white uniforms were somewhat bland and wanted a uniform look that better reflected the glitz of Hollywood. Horns were added to the jerseys, at the shoulder area, and we went to white shoes and blue shoes. The new jersey numbers were also pretty snazzy, they had a white trim. But we quickly discovered that the white trim made the numbers very tough to differentiate on TV so they were scrapped after the 1973 preseason. Hint that Rosenbloom used to own the Baltimore Colts and he thought the Rams navy blue and white was too similar to his old Baltimore Colts (now Indianapolis Colts) team that he brought back athletic gold since he remembered the Rams having the color scheme before. http://www.helmethut.com/Talkhelmet/TalkHewitt.html
