  1. I like the national championship ring, looks to be a pretty good size ring too. The ACC ring is very similar to the 1993 Orange Bowl ring.
  2. Both a 2006 and 2012 Detroit Tigers AL championship rings for sale on ebay. Both are just gorgeous rings.
  3. Interesting article about Jostens history and recent acquisition of Balfour and scrutiny by FTC due to anti-trust laws. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/12/05/us-usa-schools-rings-analysis-idUSBRE9B40WE20131205 I hear you ridenlow, but it just looked too feminine to me asides from lack of color. I liked Giants ring slightly better, blue gave it a better look.
  4. Agreed, best ring by far. Much better than the recent "1" rings by Jostens and last year's circular Alabama ring by Herff Jones. That ring put Intergold on the map, they were able to get a chance and had the winning design for Red Wing's 2002 Stanley Cup ring and the company took off from their. Now they are part of Jostens and the designer of the ring is the master jeweler for Jostens. Hopefully he will have a really nice looking ring for FSU.
  5. They could not find a picture of the Colts ring? They had to put a picture of the fake Chinese replica? Lol Least they could do was to go to your website sports rings. I hope the guy finds the ring, but can always call Herff Jones and get a new one.
  6. We should have lot more traffic soon, in about 2-3 weeks colleges will be handing out rings, judging by 30+ bowl games, if we can find pics, there should be 60+ new rings. Also can't wait for Red Sox's new rings on 4/4 and Cardinal's NLCS rings on 4/12.
  7. Thank you so much for the information guys. That seller has sold a lot of rings on ebay, he knows better, but I guess that is one way to do business.
  8. Overall I was surprised by how much the SB rings fetched. I would have thought you could get the 2000 Ravens ring for around 15-20 and the 2012 ring for about 25K. I cant believe Pats staff ring brought in 16K! of course we all know the story of the guy the ring was given to...but still...considering it was staff ring which for that year was drastically different than players ring and also none gold, no diamonds...that's a lot of money. I cant imagine the guy that bought it initially paid anywhere near that much, probably 5K at most. Only other Pats ring I know from that year was back up QB Davey...sold for 55K....but that was over 100 grams of 14K gold and nearly 5 carats of diamond. Wonder if he same person bought all 3 49ers ring!
  9. Jostens announced they will be unveiling the 2013 Boston Red Sox World Series ring on 4/4/14, along with a line of jewelry for fans. I really like both the 2004 and 2007 rings. The players "Jumbo" rings at around 80-85 grams are perfect size for a championship ring. I have purchased few of the fan rings over the years, every time I have been disappointed by how small the rings are. In my opinion a good size fan ring would be size of the Packer's "Shareholder" rings. if Jostens puts out Red Sox fan rings of that size I will be definitely be interested in shelling out 2-3 K for a gold one. Goldin Auctions ends soon, good luck to anyone from this site that has bids on rings.
  10. So i guess it is likely Jostens will be doing both Seattle and Bronco's rings since they have history with both. I wont be surprised if Seattle orders the largest rings ever. Between Paul Allen, Pete Carroll and Sea Hawks players I just can't imagine they will be presented by Jostens samples of previous rings and decide to go smaller. There is no way they would see Ravens rings and say "that's too big, we want smaller rings". Paul Allen likes all things extravagant, I think they will order the largest and most expensive rings ever made.
  11. Hey sports-rings.com Really enjoyed your blog entry on the largest super bowl rings. Its great to finally have a chance to see all the rings side by side.
  12. Wow! Jostens has now bought its biggest two rivals, Intergold and Balfour. Although Jostens has pretty much cornered most pro leagues, Balfour still had a very successful college championship ring business. So now really competitions comes down to Jostens, Tiffany, Herff Jones and Kay/Masters of Design. I am going to guess pretty much 90% or more of all future SB rings will be made by Jostens, Tiffany might get 1 or 2. Both Red Sox and Cardinals will be getting their rings from Jostens again I am assuming. I think buying Intergold was the best business decision for them, their owner who is now the Master Jeweler at Jostens revolutionized the championship ring business by making some visually stunning rings, but he simply could not compete with Jostens and Balfour once price of gold and diamond started going up. His 1999 FSU Ring, 2002 Stanley Cup ring and of course the Florida Marlins ring designs were absolutely stunning and made everyone realize they could do so much more with Championship Ring side of their business. Me for one, I can not wait for the new Red Sox ring and based on the Miami Heat and Blackhawks collection I am sure I will be purchasing one their super fan rings.
  13. Not that I need to second sports-rings, the man is encyclopedia of championship rings, but the Pats staff ring is real. The second staff ring has 2 trophies on it. I like what they did much better than Ravens when they gave everyone same ring as Ray Lewis. Heat are the only team I know that players ring is exclusively for players, even owner and Pat Riley got a slightly smaller rings. That's the way Riley wanted it, he said players ring have to be special and only for them. BTW what is the over/under of seeing a staff Heat ring, none gold with CZ coming up on eBay? Last year it took 2 weeks.
  14. Congrats to my Red Sox...last 2 rings made by Jostens, most likely this one will be too. I really like the super fan rings Jostens is offering Blackhawks and Heat fans. I better start saving $5500.00 by next April.
  15. Ridenlow you are right, skipped my mind as the ring does not look that big compared to other ones but I believe as the only platinum ring it is heavier than the 10K and the 14 K rings.
  16. Respect for making the heaviest/largest ring ever. Contenders are 2009 Steelers ring, according to Jostens 3.7 OZ or 104 grams. 2004 Patriots ring, according to Jostens 4.06 or 115 grams. Intergold did not put out official release about Marlins ring but generally a ring was reported to be around 115 grams, although years ago I saw an A ring for auction, size 11.5 weighed 104 grams. So at 135 grams, undoubtedly largest/heaviest ring ever. Keep in mind, Ravens ring looks huge, perhaps the largest super bowl ring dimensions wise (not heaviest) but only weighed 80 grams, this ring weighs 70% more….I wish there was a side by side picture of the 2 ring. Armin Armutlu who owned Intergold at the time made the Marlins ring, now he is the Master Jeweler at Jostens, he would know which is the largest.
  17. I just think it is ridiculous that Ravens gave out so many super bowl rings, all identical to the one players received. I was reading an article that even a 23 years old unpaid accounting intern got the same ring as Ray Lewis did, that I think is just flat out wrong. We see so many Heat rings being sold on ebay, but I have yet to see any of the 15 players ring (one player sold the ring in a bankruptcy case for 28K). Most organizations have 3-4 different ring levels which I think is the right thing to do. I remember back in 2005 I was living in Tampa and there was a guy at a local bar that every time I saw him he was trying to sell his Tampa Bay Stanly Cup staff ring. It was still a pretty impressive ring, similar to players, about 15% smaller, 10K instead of 14 K and had less diamonds than players did. He was a part time employee and made less that 9K a year, yet he ended up selling the ring for 10K and used to joke about if they won every year he can double his salary. Having said that, Heat are getting their rings in 5 days and I am sure with in a few weeks we are going to see the none gold with CZ rings on ebay. Also Jostens has at least 20 salesman "Sample" rings made, what about those, most of the time they end out being sold on ebay or other auction sites. All I am saying is that when you start handing out hundreds of rings to none players it is going to be very hard to keep track of them.
  18. So let me get this straight, Ravens hand out 500+ rings to all the employees and their grandmothers and now NFL has to be notified every time someone loses a ring, a ring gets stolen, etc.... There are probably over 20,000 super bowl and conference championship rings handed out so far, NFL would need a full time department handling every request coming in. I know teams have to approve making replacement rings but its hard to believe NFL has to give permission also. Players can order additional rings made for their friends, family, agents, etc, in some instances it is the exact same ring as they got so I am not sure if in fact NFL needs to approve making new rings.
  19. I don't. There is a guy with 7 super bowl rings, but that's not this guy.
  20. That is not what I meant at all. No that is not what I meant, I have no doubt Jostens is doing the ring and the ceremony is on October 29th. For the past few years usually about 4-5 weeks prior to ring ceremony there is a joint statement by Jostens and the team announcing the deal and the ceremony and possible fan rings. I have not seen that yet…perhaps Heat are getting so used to it that they don’t even bother anymore! Here is the one from last year: http://www.nba.com/heat/heat-jostens-team-create-2012-nba-championship-ring-merchandise This is the one for Raven’s ring: http://www.jostens.com/newsreleases/20130514.html? Blackhawks ring: http://www.prweb.com/releases/JostensChampRings/Blackhawks/prweb11095386.htm
  21. surprised Jostens and Heat have not made the official announcement yet.
  22. Min 1:58 you can see the Marlins ring with a watch inside. That ring was custom made for owner (courtesy of FL tax payers’) and few of select team executives. Marlins rings are by far largest rings ever made. A rings are upwards of 110 grams and even B and C rings given to others, including scouts weighed over 75 grams which is still larger than all other world series rings.
  23. I am really impressed by the collection Jostens has unveiled for the fans. Nicest fan collection I have seen since Packer’s. They even have a $5500.00 ring that looks as close to the player’s ring as fan rings get. I have bought Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks fan rings, although workmanship is immaculate, rings were smaller than I was hoping for. Let’s see how the new Blackhawks’ rings are.
  24. The 2010 Blackhawks Stanley Cup rings. Let's see if Jostens can top their own creation. Rings should be handed out sometimes early next week, perhaps on Monday, 9/30/13? 91.0 grams of 14 K white gold. 404 diamonds totaling approximately 8.00 carats.
  25. I don't know jack about Hockey, but is this guy getting another one from Blackhawks in a couple of weeks?
