  1. It’s definitely the logo-sized gaps that make it look a little less natural than the Thorns jersey. I’m VERY glad the roses aren’t tonal on the Timbers’ new jersey, but the logo-sized gaps are a side effect of that choice. They also could’ve made the roses smaller and placed more of them on the shirt, but I think the gaps would’ve been even more evident with that approach. All things considered, I think they made it look about as good and bold as they could.
  2. This is an absolute home run IMO. I’d call it the most *beautiful* kit in MLS history (beautiful does not equal best here). Can’t say I love the white in the crest & TikTok logo, but otherwise I love everything about this. Hopefully the white shorts are used sparingly because the dark red shorts look incredible with it.
  3. To be fair, Austin’s mint kit should contrast fine with the Timbers’ dark green. I don’t see any possible matchup with Seattle, though, other than both teams wearing their secondaries. That’s just as much Seattle’s fault as it is Austin’s now, though.
  4. Considering ATL’s third kit featured a wholly original graphic, I would not be surprised at all if there was sort of a “creative trade-off” on Adidas’ part in that this new secondary kit will just feature a recycled graphic instead of another bespoke design. That would be pretty dumb, but…
  5. Austin’s mint and black secondary: Colorado’s new primary with a nice embossed mountain graphic and light blue numbers for the first time:
  6. Authentic version of the Red Bulls’ new red shirt: And a better look at the authentic version of the Revs’ new shirt:
  7. Also Belgium’s current home kit. Have to give Adidas credit, they know how to make patterns look like tire treads.
  8. New teaser video for the Timbers’ new secondary: At the end you can get a glimpse of a dark red (likely) v-neck collar and adidas stripes, and the lighting effects makes me think there definitely will be an all-over rose design. Really looking forward to the reveal tomorrow morning.
  9. I’ve seen some people already saying it looks like tire treads, and I do kind of see it and can’t unsee it. I think I would’ve preferred a regular checkerboard pattern down the center myself, but I do like the creative approach and the fact that it’s an original design rather than a recycled graphic. That in it of itself makes this a huge upgrade for you guys since your past two primaries have featured some weird splotchy recycled Adidas graphics. I also like the return of green shorts as an option, and hoping they go back to wearing green/green/blue on the road like they used to in their first several years in the league.
  10. The Timbers will be releasing their new secondary tomorrow sometime around 9am pacific. May or may not have another teaser today, though.
  11. Full Charlotte secondary: I do really like the patterned collar & cuffs. Wasn’t sold on it just being on the cuffs, but the authentic version having the pattern on the collar as well really makes it. All told, they have to have one of the better inaugural sets we’ve seen from an expansion team.
  12. Charlotte is revealing their black & mint secondaries tomorrow: I believe they’re the only team to have announced tomorrow as their reveal date, but I’m also thinking the Timbers may reveal theirs tomorrow as well (seems fitting to reveal a rose-themed kit on Valentine’s Day). Edit- Charlotte had a local super bowl commercial that showed off the new kit. Unsurprisingly, the collar on the authentic version has the same pattern as the sleeve cuffs :
  13. I really hope this isn’t a sign that RSL is going checkerboard, too…
  14. Looks like Cincinnati’s new secondary kit will be orange & grey and have some sort of flag-inspired embossed pattern: https://www.adidas.com/us/fc-cincinnati-22-23-away-jersey/H47816.html
  15. Seems like Austin might be joining the mint train if these training/prematch jackets are any indication:
  16. Couple glimpses here on Vela and Ibeagha: The centered logos are an odd choice, but I REALLY like what I’m seeing with the Art Deco pattern. It’s what I’ve always envisioned for them on their primaries.
  17. Here’s my prediction of the Sounders’ new primary. Definitely looks like checkers, but to me it looks like they’re contained within a wide panel.
  18. Socks for the Sounders’ new primary kit: Back to blue Adidas stripes, but with a white adidas logo. You can bet the shirt will likely have the same.
  19. Several kit teasers in this video: Confirmation of the new Dallas primary, w/ blue shorts & socks Navy shorts & socks w/ the Revs’ new primaries (on the right): Nashville w/ yellow shorts & navy-topped yellow socks: Columbus going with black shorts with their new primaries (something I’ve wanted them to do, but they’ve only previously done it in USOC matches): Seattle going with green shorts this time around?
  20. Prediction mockup for the new ATLUTD secondary kit, based on the known color scheme and the graphic @Conrad. posted yesterday:
  21. Colorado is releasing their new primary on the 15th. In this video you can see a v-neck collar with piping on it. Hopefully there’ll be some sort of pattern on there.
  22. Colorado beat you both to it last year (and I suspect they’ll have done better than either ATL or CLT):
  23. So mint base color with this graphic? Hopefully there’s more to it than that…
  24. Speaking of carryover away kits with new crests, Chicago wore theirs in preseason friendlies this past week: Unlike the Revs, I’d call this one a huge upgrade. Not just because the new crest is far and away superior to the old, but also because the full color crest is a lot better than the monochrome navy version that it had last year with the old crest. The light blue ties into the pattern on the shirt and the red ‘C’ pops nicely.
