  1. This is fine. Red is better than black for them, and this carries over the checkerboard theme from the current white set. I really wanna see them do a Croatia-esque white and red checkerboard at some point, but I don’t see that being all that likely unless/until third kits become more widely attainable.
  2. Ahh okay, that makes more sense.
  3. The back of the shirt is blue?!
  4. I could definitely see that. I’m not usually a fan of Adidas recycling patterns, but at least in this case it’d be applied in a completely different way with the teaser suggesting that the roses are dark red on a pale pink/rose gold base. I’d rather see a completely original pattern of course, but I could still get on board with a design similar to that one.
  5. I liked the first two Rose City red secondaries, but like @Digby I actually preferred the 2014/15 and 2016/17 red and black versions. The problem with those was that they were too dark to provide sufficient contrast from the primaries, and MLS hardened the one light/one dark kit requirement around the same time they got rid of third kits. The Timbers won’t have a red kit (whether with white or black accents) until they earn a third kit again or the league & Adidas soften the third kit requirements. I’m biased, but those and the 2014/15 green and gold retro thirds are easily two of the best kits in league history.
  6. Yep, it certainly appears that way. I’m guessing there’ll be more than one rose on the shirt, but it’s tough to tell from the tease. I’m guessing it’ll be similar to the Thorns jersey, or even Racing Louisville’s. That’s what I’m hoping for at least.
  7. First kit tease from the Timbers - looks like a muted pink/rose base with a dark red rose design. I 100% want to see a yellow kit in the future, but some sort of pink Rose City Red-themed design was the other option that has been speculated on for some time and I am not mad about it at all. Excited to see the full thing.
  8. Absolutely, that’s the thing that’s bugged me most since the kit was unveiled. If they wanted to incorporate white into the socks, they should’ve made the cuffs white with black adidas stripes. Frankly I think that would’ve balanced out the white sleeves and shorts the best, anyways.
  9. Apparently the Crew’s new kit is gonna be yellow: Not sure if this means they’re keeping the 2020 black kit or somehow having this new yellow kit with last season’s gray/yellow/yellow kit. In 2016 and 2021 the Crew ditched yellow and promoted black to primary, and now in both instances immediately brought back yellow (gold) the next year.
  10. Prediction mockup of the Union primary, based on @KitLeakBoi’s description:
  11. The Beavs even went as far as having the Futura Condensed front helmet numbers, too:
  12. Updated Galaxy mockup, now with the quasars on the collar:
  13. Prediction mockup of the full Galaxy primary: Like @hendocfc said, it’s definitely possible that the authentics could have the quasars on the collar as well, but we’ll wait and see on that.
  14. Oh, I definitely agree with you there. I’d much rather see another sash design with navy and gold (maybe even some teal in there) than this plain design, though.
  15. The Galaxy are going without a sash on their primaries for the first time since 2010/2011: The cuffs are a nice tough, but the rest is underwhelming. Sad to see the sash go in favor of something as plain as this.
  16. Prediction mockup of the full Miami kit, with both pink and black shorts. Wouldn’t even shock me to see white shorts.
  17. For the most part, yeah. Every team has the training gear in gray and black color ways, and last year Atlanta, Seattle, Miami, NYCFC (there may have been a couple more) had team color versions as well. I know several other teams had team color versions that were exclusively used for pre-match instead of for training. Speaking of training gear, Columbus and the Revs are wearing the new training shirts: Oddly enough, Chicago and Charlotte are using last year’s training template for now. Probably just waiting for the new gear to arrive. Miami has had a pink training top leak: And a few teams have had this year’s travel hoodies leak as well. Here’s Atlanta’s, which not only shows what this year’s travel hoodies look like but also show the rumored mint/dark green color scheme for their away kit:
  18. The Crew replica for their current gray kits do in fact have the sublimated pattern, but yes they’re missing the yellow cuff and collar trim and jock tag. Again, generally the shirt patterns are there on both the replicas and authentics, but things like the collar and cuffs, jocktag/back neck graphics, etc. are usually what’s missing on the replicas. Their 2019 jersey did have the checkerboard pattern on the replicas (look closely), but were missing the contrasting cuffs and white collar/cuff piping: The replicas are always missing certain details, and it is up to the teams to a certain extent to decide what to exclude from the replicas, but the shirt patterns (whether they’re sublimated, embossed, etc.) are one thing that you can pretty much always count on to be there on replicas.
  19. I personally don’t remember an instance where a replica didn’t have the pattern that the authentics did, even when it’s embossed. The Timbers’ 2017/18 primaries, for example, had an embossed plaid pattern on both the replicas and authentics. Miami’s current secondaries have the embossed palm pattern on both the replicas and authentics. You’re right that clubs pick and choose what not to include on the replicas, but again I personally don’t remember an instance of a pattern not being included.
  20. Not really, a pattern would be something that’d be on the replicas and authentics. Usually the differences between the two models are with things like collar and cuff stylings, jocktag/back neck graphics, etc.
  21. They already signed a front sponsor deal last fall: https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/inter-miami-cf-announce-xbto-as-first-ever-jersey-sponsor There are actually quite a few teams that use kit-inspired graphics on social media. The Timbers have done it in the past (especially this last year), SKC has done it, Cincinnati and Minnesota have, Atlanta has, etc. I believe Miami even did that with their La Palma secondary last year, using a palm graphic on social media before the release of that kit.
  22. Obviously it being pink is a huge plus, and I personally am always a big fan of collars, but it still feels disappointing. They’ve been using a heartbeat pattern on their recent social media graphics, and it seems like a real missed opportunity to not incorporate that into the design of the shirt.
  23. The shade of pink will very likely be “True Pink”, which is the shade used on their current secondary kits and this past season’s training and travel gear. It’s also a shade that Adidas has used on teamwear designs recently: The kit should look pretty good as long as the accents are mainly black instead of white. The shade of pink could still stand to be a bit more saturated, but it’s definitely better than the shade that was used on their inaugural kits and on their training and travel gear in 2020 called “Clear Pink”:
  24. I guess I could maybe see it being gray, but in his hinting Paulson has said it’s a color that hasn’t been used as the primary color before, and also that it’s “true to the club/team”. I think gray would be a little bit of a stretch there on both of those hints, but we’ll see. Far from the least likely color IMO, but I’m still not sure it’s all that likely. I’m sticking to yellow/athletic gold as my guess, but it wouldn’t shock me at all if it was pink as a new version of the “Rose City reds”.
