  1. Yep, I posted about that one and the leaked black/pink/volt jersey on here a while ago. This one first appeared back in April when recruits posted pics from Coach Lanning’s office and the new nightmare green jersey was placed on top of his desk next to the 2021 jerseys (the black/pink one was leaked the same way). This is the first sighting of the retail version, though. These were actually supposed to be the Pac-12 CG and/or bowl game jersey last year, but they were the away team for both of those. I expect to see these on the field in the home opener against Eastern Washington.
  2. The Belgium and Spain aways are actually two of my favorites. The Belgium away is just really fun and exuberant without being over the top due to the white base. For Spain, I love the powder/royal combo and the flag-colored accents pop wonderfully. There are a lot of good kits in the collection, but these two are definitely near the top for me:
  3. Seems like it’s been a deliberate effort on their part to “leak” all of their World Cup kits through different content creators, artists, etc. Guessing when the kits are officially revealed, it’ll all come full circle with the “leakers” being involved in the official promotional material for the kits.
  4. Just lighting, it’s the same apple green uni as last year. They do have a new nightmare green uni for this year, but that’s not it in that second pic.
  5. As a Blazers fan, I’m actually okay with it losing the sash and actually kind of like the side panel design as something completely different for the red uni. I can’t get on board with the pinwheel on the chest, though, especially since it’s inexplicably monochrome instead of full-color. The white sticks out like a sore thumb, too, which is another reason why the full-color pinwheel should’ve been used if they insisted on going with it on the chest. With the popularity of the ‘77 championship red unis, I’m surprised and continually disappointed that they haven’t tried a vertical wordmark on a new red uni.
  6. Don’t be surprised if we start seeing a lot of FCS schools and even high schools using this design, as it’s one of the newer Nike Team catalog options.
  7. No clue. It used to be that uniform sets were used for three seasons by the Ducks, but since ~ 2014 it’s been anyone’s guess when there’ll be new stuff and when/if there’ll be a completely new set. With the coaching change, too, it remains to be seen whether or not Lanning has influence on the uniform front.
  8. The base set is the same as last year and as far as I know the new stuff this year will follow the same template and design.
  9. Yeah, I’ve heard the same rumors. As much as I like color vs. color, it would be a curious choice in this instance given the color blind issue. Yellow lids and pants would help, and I do think there’s a good chance we’ll see one or both of those with the green jerseys.
  10. The Ducks have some special new cleats for the season-opener against the reigning champs: First of all, this seems to signify that they’ll be in the vastly superior apple green jerseys instead of wearing their new nightmare green jerseys. Second of all, I loved Nike’s Vapor Carbon 1.0 & 2.0 cleat models, so I’m thrilled to see a remake of the VC 2.0 cleats here (they have the same sole plate as the current Vapor Edge 360 model). Also, as with the other special edition cleats that the Ducks have received in the past few seasons, these were designed by Oregon alum Mattrell McGraw (who also designs cleats for OBJ, Kyler Murray, Russell Wilson, and other big-name Nike stars).
  11. I think they’ll be okay to wear their away kit since it has the black raglan sleeves and shorts, plus the neon socks. The purple/blue base color is still somewhat close to Brighton’s blue, but I think the overall light/dark contrast between these two kits will be acceptable:
  12. The Ducks have revealed their color schedule for this year: Most notable thing is the pink vs. UCLA, which essentially confirms the leaked black/pink/volt jersey that was seen several months ago: They also have a new nightmare green jersey and I would not at all be surprised to see it in the season opener vs. Georgia.
  13. That one is nice, but I’d give the nod to the 13/14 away:
  14. I actually really like that Arsenal third. The shade of pink is what Inter Miami used on their inaugural kits, so it’ll look almost white in certain lighting. Unlike in the case of those Miami kits, I feel like it’s pretty inconsequential here and works well with the navy and light blue. The shorts are navy, which also bumps the kit up a few notches IMO.
  15. Not in love with the centered logos, but otherwise I think that Spain away is fantastic. The sky blue Euro 2012 away is one of my favorite Spain kits ever, so I’m excited to see that color return. Also really like the graphic pattern and always appreciate the flag-inspired Adidas stripes.
  16. They actually wore the white home socks against Melbourne Victory:
  17. That’s because they are using the wrong shorts (not really wrong, but 2nd choice) in both of those pictures. The white shorts are the 1st choice shorts for the home kit, while the black shorts are the 1st choice shorts for the away kit. They have two different pairs of white socks this year (one for the home, one for the away), so it’s frustrating that they don’t have two pairs of white shorts as well. If Adidas/Man Utd only wanted there to be one pair of white shorts available, they should’ve made the Adidas stripes & badge match the away shirt. They still would’ve worked just fine with the home shirt (better actually, IMO), but would’ve given more cohesiveness between the whole set. Here’s what both of the 1st choice kit combos look like:
  18. Everything about this is just embarrassing.
  19. The league doesn’t consider it an advertisement since it’s technically just their team name and word mark. Every team could probably have their team name under the number if they wanted to, but I’m glad none of the other clubs do it because I’ve always thought it looked dumb. Wouldn’t surprise me if the league eventually allows back of shirt advertising, but for now (thankfully) that isn’t the case.
  20. The Blazers actually do have a logo with the suggestion of a basketball in it, but it’s not an official logo (i.e. not trademarked & not used on official merch). It’s been around since about 2015 or 2016 and is used in a few select capacities: I think they came up with this logo to satisfy the rule, but the NBA likely grandfathered them in anyways since their identity has been pretty steadfast over the years and the pinwheel is a pretty iconic and immediately recognizable logo. If the Blazers were ever forced to introduce a logo that incorporated the suggestion of a basketball, I’m confident that this one would be it.
  21. They’ll have the team and sponsor logos, just like the previous Parley/Primeblue kits.
  22. Primeblue kits this weekend:
  23. Dallas and Portland went red vs. pink earlier this year, but Dallas’ home kit has plenty of blue and the Timbers’ pink kits are a paler shade than Miami’s, so there really wasn’t an issue at all. I suspect today’s Miami/NYRB matchup will be a little tougher, but still better than having the Red Bulls in white. I don’t mind the SJ/SKC matchup, maybe because there have been so many similar matchups in the past, but also because I wouldn’t have wanted to see both teams in their secondaries. As for Houston, they definitely could (and should) be in orange for that matchup. Clearly just wanting to wear their black kits to try to drum up sales for them. The black kits are still their secondaries, but they’ve hyped them up quite a bit and worn them quite a bit as well.
  24. This weekend’s matchups: https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/kit-matchups-what-your-club-is-wearing-for-mls-week-13 Of note: - NYCFC & Charlotte are both wearing their secondaries at home. - Pink vs. red between Miami and NYRB: - Tasty little matchup between Portland & Philly, with the Timbers in their classy green/white/green & the Union in their light blue and yellow:
  25. Midweek kit matchups: https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/kit-matchups-what-your-club-is-wearing-for-mls-week-12 SKC and LAFC are both wearing their secondaries at home. Everything else is about what you’d expect.
