So rumor is the Tucson Roadrunners won’t be moving to Phoenix, but instead will move to Reno, NV. Solid spot for that, and makes MUCH more sense than plopping a ECHL team at the old Cesar’s lot in South Lake.
Report: Arizona Coyotes owner Alex Meruelo plans to relocate Tucson Roadrunners to Reno
Realistically, isn't it a bit saturated with Tahoe starting in 2024 as well?

I also think there’s a ton of pressure on guys who play in Canada to win in Canada, especially for guys playing in or near home. Players in Canada are celebrities on a high level, yet in places like Florida and the sun belt they can go out in public and be under the radar a bit more to live their lives.
Not saying that means sun belt fans don’t care (because they do succeed in most locales), it’s just that the pressure in public isn’t as prominent

I think for me, the Raven number font/design look fine as is on dark jerseys. To me, the issue is on the white ones. I dont know if its the purple and the black blurring a little or the shape/depth of the dropshadow but something muddles it.

Any idea when the Utah jerseys will be available for purchase?
I would think sometime after the draft once Fanatics releases the entire catalog of 2024-25 jerseys

I see enough contrast between Utah and Winnipeg.

I may be out of the loop, but what's the point of buying the site to shut it down? Are the concerned the information shared is proprietary?

Playoff question …
Is the G5 champion slotted anywhere in the playoffs or are they automatically given the 12 spot? I’ve seen mixed messages and not sure if that’s been stated officially or not.

I think this was known, but now its confirmed.

I didn’t see a minor league hockey thread but the AHL Roadrunners will play 6 games in Tempe.

We already know the Kings are going with the old chevron logo as used on current 3rd.
Ducks finally bringing back the 90s colors would be fantastic
Further update came thru

This rendering makes it look like they're going to retrofit a convention center to host baseball. They're hosting the Yankees one week, and the National Association of Suburban Dentristy the next. It has no character. This could be a convention center in Peoria.
"Pavilion style" is the buzzword they've been using since the unveiling.

How the heck did Hockey Club make it this far? I feel like thats the throw in because of the temporary stuff.

I saw everyone flipping out about this, but it's probably nothing more than a protection to play in events in London, Mexico, etc.. It probably wouldn't happen annually, but its a provision to allow for it. Wouldn't surprise me if more teams had this built into lease agreements.

Still waiting for the how. You affirming your alternate reality stance without any evidence pretty much confirms that the Panthers have a superior identity.
And, I never asked about the arena but if you’d actually been to Anaheim you’d know that the Honda Center is in the middle of generic suburban sprawl which might as well be the middle of nowhere by Southern California standards.
I love how the Panthers arena comment was made that "its in the middle of nowhere". Yes, looking west its all Everglades beyond the turnpike.
If someone (who will remain nameless) would look at a map, they'd realize the arena is only on the outer edge of suburban sprawl. Not the downtown vibe, but clearly not "middle of nowhere"

This proposal by the PA is crazy. Dropping OTAs and minicamps and having a longer training camp that may start as early as June? How about we just drop the OTAs/minicamps altogether (to avoid injury) and keep camp the same? Unless the earlier parts of the new "camp" are optional to some respect, the timing seems weird to me.

I thought NBC no longer had the rights and would have to acquire them from Fox.
Since it sounds like a new recording, it may not be the same as the original.

For a long time I thought the Bruins cup winning set was an untouchable modern classic but those Centennial jerseys make them seem a tad dated and superfluous. Take the Centennial set, replace metallic gold with their traditional yellow, give it some yellow socks and put the current secondary on both shoulders and you have another modern classic that's even better.
Im no Bruins fan, but the Centennial uniforms looked decent, but like you said with a few tweaks could be a solid option full time.

Agreed. When I see the fleur-de-lis, I think of New Orleans...or France. St. Louis, MO doesn't immediately leap to mind.
Its on the flag of St. Louis, so its not like they forced something that didn't need to be there.

Most minor league teams will use a non monogram logo for the primary hat for licensing purposes. This way they can license their logo/apparel to little league teams. I know in my area there's plenty of Yard Goats, Threshers, Bananas, Trash Pandas, etc. almost just as frequently if not more often than Yankees, Rays, Braves, etc.

Marvin Harrison hasn't signed his NFLPA paperwork yet, and Fanatics is upset. Interesting that people are surprised that a player that got paid $1 million dollars last year would not want to settle for the rookie base of $30,000 the next year. Who could have seen that coming?
Also, arguing that he doesn't need the money because his family is rich, smacks of "Be happy with what we give you, others had it worse". Coming from an Ohio State fan page, that's pretty disappointing.
The 30k value is for his NIL as a pro, correct? The #4 pick in 2023 was slotted at 36.9 million on the contract including a signing bonus.

Lightning acquire Jake Guentzel 24 hours before free agency. You have to assume there's a deal in play to sign him in Tampa.
Now the wait and see happens to see if Stamkos comes back. He is reported to test the free agent waters when the window opens tomorrow.
