Why did they not switch the sides for LIV (since it was hosted in an AFC stadium)?
End zone designation is not based on the home stadiums conference. Going by the Gridiron Uniform Database, it seems pretty haphazard since the beginning.

Exclusive: New MLB 2024 Spring Training Caps by New Era Released
Article says that these are spring specific only and "we will see an entirely separate collection of new regular season B.P. cap designs for the 2024 season in the coming weeks"

Not saying its feasible, and the Royals might be the ones who would have to sign off on it, but Omaha has Charles Schwab Field which seats 24k. Not ideal, but could be a quick stopgap too.

Why in the blue hells are they building an arena in Forsyth County instead of Downtown Atlanta?
Also, the arena in downtown Atlanta has been heavily renovated by the Hawks for basketball only, and two arenas in one downtown makes no sense.

We've seen between a third and half of these City Connect jerseys and everyone seems to think the concept is going to change? Like them or not, they're here to stay for the time being.

When do we expect the ST caps to drop? About a third of them have already leaked and I’m itching to see the full collection. I’m ready to pull the trigger on my red/navy Braves BP low crown without the ST patch. I used to buy them nearly every year and then New Era started mailing it in (plastic logos, bad materials, monochrome logos, etc). This year’s collection looks alright.
Early February is usually when we've seen the spring training collections release in the past.

I was thinking the same thing about the incline. It appears to be at a more palatable level.

I feel like the uniform changes to the Yankees, Washington, and Miami were kept pretty quiet. It makes me wonder if there are any more subtle changes in the pipeline as well.

Really happy for Raheem Morris getting another shot at HC. He got a raw deal in Tampa and has grown in other roles since then, and even on both sides of the ball if I recall.

Make the helmet purple flake and we got something.
A purple flake on a black Ravens helmet would be solid, as it would evoke a ravens feathers.

Hey would it be ok if I make a thread linking to a survey I'm doing for a university assignment? It's a project centered entirely around the current state of NFL uniforms and people's frustrations/opinions on them, I have to conduct a survey or do an interview to gather data, and couldn't think of a better place to get accurate data than this forum. It'd just be a simple surveymonkey link. I don't need many participants, but I don't know enough uniform nerds outside of here to conduct anything elsewhere.
Just wanted to make sure, just in case. Hope it's alright with y'all.
Yes, you can post the survey within the Polls Only section linked below.

Two people with opposing viewpoints each think the other is wrong. That's natural — and healthy.
That may be how you feel, but when it comes to those with differing opinions, I don't think they're wrong. That's the thing about opinions, nobody is right or wrong. It's a personal choice.

Literally in opposite world. The white trim and sleeve cuffs were straight out of the 70s and should've been retired a long time ago. This is traditional, pre-horribly renovated Yankee Stadium era Yankees road uniforms.
Agreed, for as classic as the home pinstripes look, the road uni looked like it was stuck in the 70s. This simplification fits the overall classic look of the Yankees (even coming from a rival fan)

Let's be honest, those Namath era unis weren't the best since the Starter version. Every other version was shoehorned to a template and didnt look the best.

They have the lightest gray of any team with gray pants. They're barely indistinguishable from white.
Thats not fully accurate, that pic is heavily filtered for social media. They are light, but not as light as the filtered pic shows

The released 1,904 jerseys (to represent the original year of Gasparilla in Tampa. Per their explanation, they were able to do this release since they were not warmup jerseys (league no longer allows special warmup jerseys, or the sale of them to the public)

Alright, I guess I'm in the minority, but what's with the hate? At least it's something different.
It's a nice alternate, but not for a primary.

Lightning social accounts shared this yesterday. It could be a nod to the Gasparilla pirate themed gear (no more warmup jerseys allowed per the league) their shop released last week, but the focus is on that chest pretty heavy.
Might be a release of that leaked black jersey for 1/18??? I'll be at the game that night, so we'll see soon enough.

It’d be great if he went to TB and won another title.
I mean....I'd love to see the Bucs get another Lombardi, but I don't know if Bill is the type of coach the Glazers want next. IF Bowles is fired, they'll go with someone the polar opposite like they've done in the past since replacing Dungy.

I mean San Antonio has been trying for years to get a new ballpark and dont seem to be going anywhere with that. It would suck to lose a market as big as San Antonio but they could be an option to move to Mississippi. But at the same time I feel like they would need a team in Louisiana to bridge the gap between Texas and Mississippi
Midland was another possibility I had heard talked about in the past. Guess who owns Midland....Diamond Baseball Holdings. The owner who just moved the AA Braves to Columbus. A bridge to Mississippi would help, but looking at a map of the Texas League, Jackson/Pearl, MS isn't far out of the footprint. (Interestingly enough, Jackson, MS was in the Texas League until 1999 when they relocated to Round Rock, who then became Corpus Christi)
As for Louisiana, there was a report that Baton Rouge was considering some redevelopment to some of their older stadiums.
-
This move kinda surprised me, but when the opportunity in Columbus GA opened up, it made sense.
I wonder if there's a chance we see an existing Southern League team relocate there, or on an off chance Texas League team, if the existing team cannot get the MLB mandated upgrades in time. Mississippi hugs that line between the leagues.

That's a possibility, but it could be dictated in the contracts that if events are hosted at the stadium that require the standard name to be replaced for generic names there is no fiscal responsibility by either side.
