  1. ‘99 Rams were such an incredible story. I don’t think the Lions can overtake them there, even if they win the whole thing. With the Rams, it was an instant turnaround with a quarterback who had been unheard of, and some of the best uniforms in NFL history. With the Lions, it’s a two-year turnaround (still very impressive!) with a former #1 overall pick at QB (still a nice career redemption) and some of…some of the uniforms in NFL history. (Actually mostly very nice designs that they refuse to wear correctly.)
  2. You know what I wish they’d do? Bring back the purple as a nod to their New Orleans origins, and the baby blue from the mid-aughts since jazz music is based on the blues, plus a nice sky blue seems appropriate for Utah. The cool color scheme complements the mountainous terrain. If they need a warm color for balance, bring back the copper from the Purple Mountains’ Majesty set. For a bit more of a New Orleans flavor, use green as a trim color, or don’t. I still feel like their double-blue from the mid-aughts was a missed opportunity, and the dark blue should instead have been purple (which stayed in that logo anyway).
  3. Cool, now we have two strictly black and white teams. Don’t know why everybody is allergic to actual colors, but it sucks.
  4. Ugh, now I’m reminded that the Vikings like to wear plain white socks.
  5. They’d need striped socks with the green pants. And I’m pretty sure Nike loathes striped socks…and striping in general these days.
  6. You would get the 49ers in their “icy” 1994-1950s fauxback. Be careful what you wish for.
  7. The Falcons had had grey/silver in their color scheme for two decades or more before switching to black helmets in 1990. They actually still list it as a team color today, although they do a crappy job of using it.
  8. mono-lulu! Lol They seem like they want nothing to do with “same old Lions” so probably mocking anyone who would dare assume they’d wear their old combos. At least it isn’t mono-white.
  9. I wish the Cardinals lies had been Cardinals truths. That sounded like such an interesting set.
  10. Fair enough. I just thought it was funny, seeing how tin is generally a silvery color.
  11. I wish I’d appreciated proper color blocking better back when it was commonplace. If it ever becomes commonplace again, I hope I don’t take it for granted.
  12. Haha, the Jordan logo is even red. What clown made this?!
  13. That was a really cool logo IMO. It just wasn’t translated well onto uniforms. Could it have been? Who knows?
  14. Agreed. Hopefully it doesn’t.
  15. Late ‘90s-early ‘00s: HURR DURR darker colors look so TOUGH HURR DURR dope swag lololololol Mid ‘00s: HURR DURR look at all this piping HURR DURR we look amazing HURR DURR other teams’ uniform designs aren’t as complex as ours HURR DURR we look like we’re from Europe lolololol HURR DURR 2020s: HURR DURR black and white are the best colors to wear while being broadcast on TVs that can show literally millions of colors and HURR DURR and HURR DURR and let’s wear monochrome combos as often as possible HURR DURR because it looks awesome when people play sports while wearing pajamas HURR DURR and at the very least the pants and socks should be the same color so we look like acrobats on a trapeze HURR DURR
  16. Even Snoop would shake his head at that.
  17. Looks like they’re trying to imitate Georgetown.
  18. Yep, I was gonna say, I remember pictures of them in Vegas gold from the last game of that series.
  19. In my opinion - black helmets, silver chrome facemasks, silver pants always…black home, white away, red alternate jersey, black or red socks, plus a throwback to the era of the first few Falcons playoff teams (1977-82). In this case the regular uniforms would basically just be updates of the Dirty Bird (1997-2002) set. If they were to go with something more red-heavy as a primary, then a straight Dirty Birds throwback would be great. Preferably both home and road like Miami does.
  20. Those aren’t half-bad.
