  1. Using teams based in the ex CSA states including Texas and Florida. So I'll include them in this list. Since 2000 NFL: 2003 Tampa Bay Bucs 2010 New Orleans Saints MLB 2003 Florida Marlins NBA 2003 San Antonio Spurs 2005 San Antonio Spurs 2006 Miami Heat 2007 San Antonio Spurs 2011 Dallas Mavericks 2012 Miami Heat 2013 Miami Heat 2014 San Antonio Spurs NHL 2004 Tampa Bay Lightning 2006 Carolina Hurricanes If you take away Texas teams that won in the NBA since 2000, you still have 3 championships from Miami. Take away Florida's pro sports championships and you still have recent championships from the Hurricanes and Saints.
  2. It's all but certain we're getting game 5. possibly a 6th game. 7th game. LeBron holds trophy.
  3. I wouldn't worry about shady refs, the Cavs are on their way to blowing out the Warriors.
  4. Looking at teams like Edmonton and Toronto, I legitimately see them in the finals as early as next year. These are two teams to watch next year. Throw in the Sens as a sleeper team and your ECF possibly is looking like Ottawa/Toronto.
  5. I don't know where this racism narrative is coming from. Of all the Preds fans tweets I've seen, I've not encountered anything that resembles racism. It's really been nothing more than typical home team homerism that you would see anywhere. This thread is the only place I have seen that it is even remotely a topic.
  6. I think we're headed towards a Ducks/Sens SCF rematch. In which the Sens sweep in 4.
  7. I prefer to just enjoy playoff hockey instead of getting into a male appendage wagging contest over who has the best/worst fans. There's been some stuff during the playoffs that's been enjoyable. 1. Promise of the Maple Leafs and how they could dominate the Eastern Conference 2. Playing off the Leafs, the Edmonton Oilers, after years of drafting 1 overall, finally have a team that could be a power house of the west. A Leafs/Oilers final could be a reality sooner than later. 3. Predators and their run. I'm excited to see the Preds make a deep playoff run. I'm excited for the fans of the team. 4. The Ottawa Senators have pieced together a nice run. They probably aren't getting the attention that they should be getting. Just a few things off the top of my head that I've enjoyed.
  8. The Islanders barely can make the playoffs. If they do, they are out in the first round, outside of last years outlier.
  9. Not until they put out a design that doesn't resemble a ECHL team. They are only mildly tolerable to look at.
  10. That's any team, any league and any era. You can't run the table forever. The game changes, players retire, coaches leave. It's the up and down nature of sports. Look at this years NHL draft, the top 10 teams, hell the top 3 teams. Teams like the Devils, Flyers, Stars, Avalanche, Redwings were all powerhouses of the 90s and 2000s. From 1995 to 2003, The Devils, Avalanche, Redwings and Stars had a vice grip on the Stanley Cup. The Wings managed to even extend their shelf life all the way into 2008 where they won a cup and lost the following season. Now they are all picking in the top 10 of the draft. It'll happen to the Patriots when Brady and co, leaves. It's the cyclical nature of sports.
  11. In this day and age of social media, multiple sources of sports info, why does anyone need ESPN outside of a box score or a live game/event? If I need in depth analysis I can go onto YouTube and find someone whose channel is dedicated to that. If I want to be entertained I can watch EDP.
  12. I think people need to take a wait and see approach. We got the picks, let's see what they can do in the NFL before hyping or crapping on the picks. We simply don't know how they will pan out. They may not be the flashiest or sexiest picks that ESPN get chubbers for but they might be what they need. Last year the Cowboys took Zeke, when they probably didn't need a RB. They took a lot of heat for it. All he did was turn the season around. When you have a special player like that available, you take him 10 out of 10 times. Then you figure out what your going to do with the rest of the position later. Unless your Mel Kiper and you gladly pass up an Emmitt Smith, or a Barry Sanders because you think RBs are useless.
  13. Cowboys have done well with the picks. Defense should be much improved this year.
  14. There is no question that Edmonton is going straight to the finals. I'll go as far and say they'll win the cup.
  15. Sleeve stripes at this point are glorified sleeve logos.
  16. Then don't watch it. For me I'm kinda intrigued to see how far the Preds can go. With the Preds moving on, does this make the Atlanta Thrashers turned Winnipeg Jets as the last of the late 90s/Early 2000s expansion teams to not have won a playoff series?
  17. Happened in 2000-2001, the Ottawa Senators wins the season series 5-0 then got swept in the first round by the same Toronto Maple Leafs.
  18. Yes. In 2007-2008, the Detroit Redwings swept the season series from the Colorado Avalanche, 4-0, then swept the Avalanche in the second round of the playoffs.
  19. I don't know. It's been so long since I've watched network tv, that I honestly couldn't tell you.
  20. I don't get Dallas sometimes. One year they resemble world beaters. Then others they look mediocre to bad. I don't follow Dallas maybe ColeJ can explain what's going on with them. Of course my Islanders aren't that much better.
  21. off topic but why do they look like they are wearing Black/Silver/Teal? Was the lighting that bad in the arena they were in?
