    From my understanding, 2002 is the only time the Mets in the black have ever faced the White Sox.

    This is the cap the Indians should be embracing. If they started using this as a primary cap, there would be zero complains.

    It's also a nostalgic thing for me. I grew up with that late 90s-early 00s Mets team and wore (still wear) the Black uniforms so that's why I never thought the Black Mets uniforms were bad. I will say this, the Mets are far better off without black. This is the best they've ever looked in a long time but if they were to bring out the black uniforms as a special 2000 Throwback Day or something (that makes me feel old), I wouldn't mind.

    I can understand why ESPN would give Monday Night Football a unique scorebug but why NBA?

    Same. It was more of a psychological thing with me though. I felt if I wore the pants low, getting hit with a pitch near my leg wouldn't hurt as much. I didn't like having my ankles exposed. It sounds silly but that's how I felt as a kid.

    and he was still recognized by the organization as a Marlins Alumni. He even showed up wearing a Marlins jersey at the final Dolphin Stadium game.

    I was thinking about posting this but it was hard because he did cement his legacy winning 2 Super Bowls in this uniform.

    At a time when the Mets and Knicks got rid of black, the Islanders come in and introduce black. They're a very 1 step forward, 2 step backwards franchise.

    2 things I'd change with that uniform. 1. Bring back the Mr. MET patch. I don't know who suggested to get rid of it but they should be fired. 2. Wear the blue jersey with white pants. I think it just looks better than the pinstripe pants.
