The more I see these pants, the more I need Nike to magically discover the incredible intricacies of manufacturing dazzle fabric. Flat gray and gold pants look so bad compared to the shiny fabric of old.

Ron Rivera is a coach that's gonna get the most out what he's given but nothing more. He's absolutely a "player's coach" but he's not gonna use genius coaching to win games like a Belichek or a Carroll. The problem is that Washington has given him absolute
, even worse than what he had to deal with in Carolina. Unless the roster improves, that team's never gonna get better.

I'm serious: who pissed off a higher being in Charlotte and how do we make it right. This has been the offseason from hell and I guarantee you even if we finish with the worst record we will not get the #1 overall pick. I hate it here.

It's the same long O sound as in Osaka, correct?
Yep! Same character, even.「大」which means "big" or "large". Ohtani's name is written「大谷」meaning "big valley" while Osaka is written as「大阪」meaning "big slope". Lots of Japanese last names are taken from the place that a family lived.

Japanese does the same with the surname coming first (e.g. he's called Suzuki Ichiro in Japan). I wonder why English-speakers swap them for Japanese but not for Chinese
Yep, and before the 2020 Olympics they were fine with the Westernized given name then family name but they asked all broadcasters to switch it to family name then given name like is done for Chinese athletes. As far as I know, all obliged (at the very least NBC did).

Fun fact: if one were to accurately romanize Shohei's last name, it would be Ootani. Because most English-speaking people reading that would pronounce it as "oo-tani" instead "oh-tani", often times O or Oh is used instead.

Charlotte Black- Another Charlotte Coliseum/City abbreviation inspired
It's not based on the Charlotte Coliseum at all, it's a continuation of the "Buzz City Minted" theme from two seasons ago. Also, I'm fairly certain it's actually going to be graphite and not black. The first go-around the colors were mint, gold, and graphite.

The alternate roundel (Row 1, Column 3) was retired within a month of it's unveiling
I assume you mean column 1, row 3, and also no it wasn't, it's actually on the back of the jerseys:

Some might have trouble finding the CLT jerseys though.
Surely you mean because of how fast they'll sell out

I was absolutely right when I said that their next city (after the mixtape ones) would be a black/graphite version of the Minted set. It won't look nearly as good but using CLT instead of Buzz City is actually really cool and good. I don't think it belongs on a jersey but maybe this will mean the team finally officially make the switch from CHA -> CLT. These will be a huge hit in Charlotte I guarantee it.

No idea where to place this so I'll put it here:
I'm against expansion from a quality of play perspective but as a designer I'd like to see what brands they come up with and I'm also morbidly curious to see how well it would do. As for cities, I'd imagine something along the lines of London, Frankfurt, Munich, and Amsterdam.

They HAVE been on the jerseys in pre-season, but only the pre-season games in Vegas. My only guess is that the ad deal is tied to when they actually wear the jerseys at home (tonights game is in LA and LA is wearing their 3rds)
Yeah I'm fairly certain that gambling advertisement laws prevent them from being worn on the road. Nevada is one of the few states that allows it so Vegas has it at home, no matter the color jersey.

Carolina Panthers have fired Matt Rhule.
This is the best thing to happen to the Panthers since 2017, and I'm not sure if I'm joking or not. Rhule was a disaster through and through. I have faith in Scott Fitterer to actually do a good job turning the team around but David Tepper needs to take himself out of the equation. You've tried running things and you screwed it up, now just step back and sign the check!

Mariners I love you. I know you probably won't but please beat Houston, it'd be the funniest sh-t in the world. also J-Rod's a lock for AL ROTY, right?
No disrespect to Julio but Adley Rutschman should win ALROY fairly handily.

I guess an unpopular opinion would be I actually prefer Sierra Mist to Sprite. It's sweeter and I like it more. Hopefully this Starry is similar to Sierra Mist in flavor.

O's clinch a winning season, win the series in The Bronx, and Judge doesn't get #62!
First team since 1899 to have a winning season after losing 110 games the last season.

I know everyone here in Charlotte loves the throwback word mark, but I appreciate the cleaner more modern look.
This is coming from someone who normally hates when teams simplify their word marks ie the Timberwolves.
I much prefer the modern wordmark, but only when we do this:
I hope after CLTFC's season ends we go back to the fully colored endzones. The wordmark with a stroke is super boring.

(I think orange over white like this is another good combo for them).
Orange over white with orange socks is my favorite Bengals look, and this pants change would make it probably a perfect uniform, or as close to perfect as you can get.

Yep which sacrifices a blue jersey game which I don't think is being worn at all this season now, since they wore it twice in the pre-season.
No, they wore it once this preseason, the only regular season blue jersey game is Week 17 at TB.

No, the black stroke doesn't serve a purpose. Just like the ugly silver-green pants, they're a relic of when colors bled together on TV. Make every shade of blue the old dark royal, make the silver match the helmet, and drop the black. Aside from the silver stripe on the jersey that mockup is exactly what the Cowboys should look like.
