Crown Legacy is definitely better than "Charlotte FC II" and on the whole I think the brand is solid. I prefer the parent club's crown and ligature, personally, but on the whole I'm glad to see a unique brand for out MLS Next Pro team. They play in Matthews as well, which means it'll be even easier to see games for me.

Excellent work as always! The Sun Warriors are great and I love Tenn A&M's traditional look.
I'm looking forward to the Old American the most but Big Canada and Big West are really intriguing me.

While they are quite similar, there are only so many ways to draw a simplistic queen's crown. This logo seems to have been in use for at least almost a decade according to a quick google search, so if it's been acceptable for this long, it shouldn't be a copyright or trademark problem. Plus, since the original crown mark for Charlotte was designed for the city flag, it automatically falls under public domain like any other flag would.
Actually, it wasn't - it's placed on the civil flag (not the city flag, that's the blue one with the Cross of Andrew and the seal on it) but the logo is a "registered service mark" of the City of Charlotte. For quite a while they were extremely strict about not letting non-governmental entities use it, but they've loosened up the past few years when they realized what a good marketing tool it is. I wouldn't say if it's acceptable or not given the City may not know about it (or, they may not want to waste money on a suit).

Completely unrelated to the discussion (though I agree about the college 3-point line) but man that court is so good. Just the right amount of 90s cheese. Blows nearly everything the Hornets do nowadays out of the water. I'd want the honeycomb wood pattern and then it's perfect.

Luv ya blue returning to Houston is a good thing no matter how you slice it. There's nothing more Houston football than the Oilers and the Texans should've been able to claim that from day one. Besides, if the Titans aren't gonna use it properly, the Texans might as well.

I think the red helmet with the white jersey looks great. I'd like to see more teams experiment with this, equipment like helmets or even pants specifically for the road. Columbus does it and I think Colorado could use it as well. I'm all for more color in hockey.

That's disappointing. The purple and orange was something unique and while I know nothing says Pittsburgh like black and gold, I'll miss what they had. Hopefully the uniforms stay at least somewhat close to what they had. Those were excellent.

I want the rouge in the NFL.
I disagree solely on the grounds that it would make Scorigami much less fun.

I was always curious to see if the NHL would at least pretend to have good values by properly defending their "Hockey is for Everyone" campaign. Even if it is performative, I still appreciate being told that I belong. They can't even keep that up. Disappointing but not surprising.

I'd much rather the Ravens keep purple/black/gold than drop the gold and add red. I think those TCU unis are terrible and I think what Baltimore has now is a unique and recognizable color scheme. My preference would be to drop red full-time (including the awful flag logos) but if they were to add red, I'd want purple/gold/red. No team needs four colors.

The Vikings should be eliminating black, not expanding their use of it.

So glad to see you back with some new concepts! I always love to see your work.
BOS: Stellar work here! That logo is beautiful and the hidden B in the sails is such a nice touch. The uniforms are also gorgeous, that light shade of blue works wonders here. The yoke is a modern touch that still feels very classy. The throwback is still probably my favorite but it's all great. Also, is that the old lighthouse shield logo on their pants?
JAX: I like the name change from Cyclones, this is a more unique concept that still feels right. The curved "Jacksonville" script is sooooo good and I love how it looks on the jerseys. The one thing I'm not feeling as much is how much the logo in blends in on the helmet. I'm not really sure how to fix it, but maybe swapping the light purple and white would work?
NO: New Orleans remains one of my favorite sets you've made and this new brassy shade of gold is wonderful. It feels so rich and lively, as does the rest of the set. The bead necklace collar is such a nice detail that adds so much without being overwhelming.

For what it's worth, I didn't notice until it was pointed out. There certainly aren't any mountains that close to CMS, haha.

The block C we can see here is not subject to copyright, as it doesn't meet the "threshold of originality". It is, however, trademarked, so yes, Cleveland has a case here. In the article it states that they only reached out after Charged Up filed to trademark their logo, which features the old Cleveland block C. You can't use another trademarked logo without a license, even with the slight modifications they made.

If you look at the collar of the Charlotte player’s jacket, it looks like the inside is the rumored purple color of their new secondary. You can also see how the inside of the Galaxy jacket matches the color of their already leaked secondary. LAFC’s jacket also has olive green on the inside.
I actually really like that shade of purple, it reminds me of the Hornets' Dark Purple. I wish I could say that it means we're not getting an Ally-themed kit but I can't because Ally uses every shade of purple in their brand. Stupid that we have to worry about that but whatever. I can at least hope that it looks good.

St. Louis CITY Soccer Capital has too much pink going on, there needs to be more navy. The yellow trim isn't great either. I really don't like the colored trim that's going to be on every jersey. Completely unnecessary "addition" that just clutters up every design.

Charlotte FC teases what I assume to be their clash kit, to be revealed tomorrow. Obviously the text is pink (like the colors leak) and it seems to be teapot themed? Some kind of china pattern? Of note - I think the lavender finger nail polish that can be seen will be the secondary color, which would make the scheme not identical to Charlotte's kit sponsor, Ally. A relief for myself although I can't say I really see where this is going.
Of course, this could have nothing to do with the kit. I just figured the pink text and odd tea theme could mean something.

USC needs to hire a tackling coach. If anyone on that defense could make a real tackle the Trojans would've won by three touchdowns. Unacceptable performance to cap off a season full of "what could've been"s.

Agreed on no major changes. Might be a stretch to call the Panthers look classic, but at a high level, the various elements are fairly timeless.
Updating our shoulder/pant/maybe helmet striping to be consistent with LSU's style (similar to Colts examples posted earlier) feels like a good compromise between updating & improving, while maintaining a very similar feel to our current design (which is essentially the only design we've had, ignoring small tweaks).I don't hate the idea, but I'd rather maintain the flow of the stripes by doing something closer to the Chargers: eliminate the logo and TV numbers and place the hoop over the shoulders. I'm fine if it ends without looping, because that would match the pants better anyway but I don't want it to be cut off before the taper. The helmet I have no idea what to do with, to be honest. Might be worth just keeping what we have without the curve towards the end.

What was going on with Frankie Luvu's shoulder stripes in that game?
Probably tailored for a tighter fit. Henry Anderson has the same thing. I hate it, personally.
34 minutes ago, SSmith48 said:Ugh... this is just proof that Carolina is the team that is in the direst need for new uniforms in the NFL. The design does not work well on the Vapor Untouchable template at all.
This was a custom tailor job, not a problem with the template or the design. I hope the Panthers never make a major change.

Panthers haven’t worn silver pants with the blue jerseys in a few years, but why is Tampa wearing white for this game anyway? They did the same thing last year.
Actually, we wore the silver pants and black socks Week 1 of the preseason this year. Beyond that, yeah, the last time blue/silver was worn was 2017.
