Let’s place him on the Rodgers-Brady spectrum.
On one end, he could swindle Carolina (or another team) for all their money then cry about the team not being able to retain any good players
On the other end, he could get a large contract, but repeatedly restructure it every year in an effort to help the team retain the good players.
I’d say he probably favors the Rodgers end just a tad, but I believe he actually wants to win.
I'd still rather the team draft a QB than take another chance on another reclamation project. He did well-ish in Cleveland, but how well would he do here? And would that success or lack thereof really be worth the risk/capital in trading for him? In my opinion it's more worth taking a chance on a rookie QB that you can control for several years on a low contract than a more proven, but still risky QB that, if he does well, will command a lot more money from you.

Except Darnold is considerably worse than Mayfield
To be quite honest, I don't see the value in trading for Baker. Ok, he wins us a couple more games - does that benefit us? Would it not be better to draft our next QB than trade for one (with the little draft capital we have, we still don't have a day two pick) and then if he is the long-term answer pay that traded QB a ton of money, handicapping us from improving the team elsewhere? The strategy to win in the NFL is to have a young QB on a rookie contract then use the remaining money to build up the rest of the team. The Panthers have a bunch of good young players approaching contract extensions and I don't want to be handicapped paying Baker instead of them.

Mayfield feels like a low risk high reward QB at this point for Carolina.
That's exactly what we said about Sam Darnold.

Sam Darnold hasn't done anything that's gotten his teams within a whiff of the playoffs. Mayfield's at least done that. As many QB's Carolina went through last year, they may as well roll the dice again.
This is exactly why I don't want us trading for him - we need to stop trying to get failed stars to be our long-term answer and make a play for a young QB they we draft to be our franchise guy. Not sure if that will be this year or next year. If it's not Willis, I hope it's next year.

You've made the only change necessary for the Trojans. Great stuff!

We are up to 9 teams?
I would assume there are teams relocating, not expansion. Roughnecks and Vipers are prime for relocation because the USFL has teams in those cities.

I never want Watson on this team. I hate this ownership. Best thing Tepper could do for the city of Charlotte is leave.

I only remember the one win against Denver. When was the second Lombardi?
My bad haha, was distracted and forgot he only played in two, didn't win two. My point still stands.

We’re a day into Wilson’s tenure as Denver’s QB1
Let’s give it a few seasons before cementing “wrong uniform”
Russ is 33 years old and played in two Super Bowls with Seattle. The Seahawks are his right uniform.

Idk I feel like the process can be summed up pretty well by "lose for several years and hope we get good because of it"

That purple Statement has to be Charlotte... right?

These last three races have been some of the most exciting in recent years. Obviously they still need to figure out tire issues, but other than that the Gen 7s are nothing but success in my opinion. They are tough to drive and that makes for better racing. Loving this season so far.

The team didn't live up to the moment but the city sure did.
We earned our team.

Where is the source for any of these claims?
I was under the impression that the NFL didn’t really specify any rules or parameters beyond the newly granted ability to have a second helmet. I’ve anticipated that many teams would treat the second helmet like they would an extra pants option, interchanging it with every possible combo.
That’s obviously not what I would want them to do; if it were up to me, a second helmet would be reserved for throwbacks only, sort of like it was before the one-helmet rule was put into place.
https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-approves-alternate-helmets-beginning-in-2022
From this article:
QuoteThe revised policy allows teams to utilize a second (alternate color) approved helmet to pair with their Alternate, Classic and/or Color Rush uniforms.
So any alt.

I'm pretty sure the second helmet can be used with the alternate jersey, throwback or not.

Omitting the Chiefs' arrowhead and Colts' horseshoe logos also a head-scratcher
It appears to me like they're using the team's primary logo for that season, so they have the correct Kansas City and Baltimore logo.

And Charlotte experiences its first awful reffing moment. DCU gets away with a hook before what I think was a handball gives DC a goal. Unreal. Refs don't even look at the video review.

I assume it's because of the famous cherry blossoms in DC.

What on Earth are the Warriors doing. That looks absolutely awful. Miami's serial killer staying around sucks, Lakers with black sucks, the Lakers and Warriors classics at least look good. Not looking forward to whatever the Hornets end up doing. I'm predicting a graphite Minted jersey.

Brilliant.

If Houston didn't have side panels and there was some more red on the home pants I'd be down for it but I think they're missing that. They're the worst of the 5 so far, but still a solid enough set. Could be far, far worse.

Absolutely adoring what you've got going on with St. Louis. The contrasting sleeves on the white uniform is awesome and that STL monogram is class. I think the helmet might need some white, but other than that STL's looking great. I love Quebec, the way you've done the Northern Lights is so cool and they're easily my favorite team. Love the soft gradient on the pants and helmet in particular. Dallas looks nice, the striping is classy and they look good. Great work as always, really looking forward to the final teams!
