Is California and Las Vegas considered Sun Belt though?

He doesn't even have to move to a new residency either!

The rumors include everything and making the Thunder an expansion team retroactive to 2008. Again, only rumors though.

The talk has been if the Seattle Supersonics come back, that the expansion team will have the history of the Sonics back with them.

The Stars have been a success story though, as I mentioned before. They are proof that Sun Belt Hockey can work if done correctly. The team is quite boring on the ice if that is what you are saying.

I would be curious to know from the anti "NHL should never expand to the Sun Belt" people how would they feel if it was the Dallas Stars that had won tonight?

To the guy bashing the NHL and the Panthers, would you have done the same thing if the Dallas Stars won the Stanley Cup?

As a Stars fan, I and other Stars fans will push back on the whole "every team in the Sun Belt is a massive failure." The early success of the Stars resulted in places called StarCenters, which are centers for Youth Hockey, High school Hockey and used as skating rinks for the local communities in which they are located. There's also a high school hockey league too. And the assumption that NHL hockey can succeed in Houston because it succeeded in Dallas is premature. Could they be a success like the Stars? Absolutely they could be but we don't know for sure.

If he has to retire due to health issues, they will probably just promote Bill Daly.

Dallas has been a success though. I live in Dallas and there is strong evidence that it is a major success, so not every Sun Belt team has been a massive failure. The Dallas Stars are not 100% a massive failure, if that is what you are implying.

This is also coming from Craig Morgan, who is credible.

I get annoyed by hockey elitists who think that NHL in the Sun Belt is a massive failure. The NHL in Dallas is a smashing success, and there is significant evidence to prove it.

The Panthers avoided the hockey version of 28-3.
