Soon as I started on this one, I couldn't really stop and this is probably one of my best pieces that I did.... so going back to various upon various past concepts of this previously located team gave me an idea with the new logo of said team... what if you use the PROPER baby blue and kept the current gold and create something unique that was ever made... and let's say you might like this one.
Because Spanos we're going back to...!
SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
Behold! The San Diego Chargers as if they survived to their current build AND if they weren't relocated by a bumbling buffoon who's family holds concept for a once proud city.
That lighting logo across the shoulders on the front is brilliant. The only minor gripe that I have is that the logo on the back above the NOB makes it feel clustered.

Its difficult to move it earlier in the day in this era of TV schedules.
At the same time, I'm kind of befuddled why they would have a race in the blistering heat of Atlanta in the middle of the summer. I'd like for them to move it to a later date like how it was in the late 2000's/early 2010's - not in the playoffs, but not too far away.

And he has had 15+ years of racing on ovals since joining Indy/cart. We aren’t talking about him though, we are talking about SVG who would need to learn how to race on ovals after 20+ years racing down under. Marcos Ambrose wasn’t able to win on ovals, neither could Juan Pablo Montoya, or Sam Hornish Jr. Only person who’s come to nascar and been able win on an oval is Mario Andretti but even that was at Daytona and not a real test of skill that other ovals are.
JPM came pretty darn close a few times in Cup: Indy 2009 and 2010, Pocono 2009, Loudon 2009, Dover 2013...
JPM and Ambrose were both quick on the ovals at times and grabbed poles, they just didn't execute well in the race.- 1

I'm a little late...but I noticed that you kept the Colts secondary logo inside the jersey, but that logo includes the state of Indiana in it...

I like the A's set - always a sucker for the Henderson-era uniforms - however the Las Vegas script feels too stretched out.

He was flat out better than everyone. When you're two full seconds faster than the leader, it's not a matter of if you'll catch them, but when.
Haley drove his heart out. He got lucky the first time because a caution came out. He did manage a crossover to get the lead back, but the amount of talent, combined with the rocket ship was too much for Justin, or anyone else for that matter, to overcome.
It's great to see other talent from other series to come over and to try their hand at NASCAR. SVG did an amazing job yesterday, and I hope projects like Project91 and Kamui Kobayashi doing a one-off with 23XI will help entice other high-level drivers into the sport.
For the race, it was actually good, and I'm glad they were able to salvage something from the awful weather. Yes, it was a wreck fest, but it's what some of these road course races have divulged into. Also doesn't help that they only had 50 minutes of practice.
Additionally, I'm super proud of Justin Haley. Drove his absolute butt off with older tires and brought it home in 2nd. -

But seriously, this is really good. I've always preferred the "'gate' helmet. Keep up the great work!- 1

Man, I miss Tim Lincecum, but him playing for the Angels did not fit.

And why did they feel the need to change it?

Personally, I'm equal parts excited and worried about the All-Star Race. North Wilkesboro was before my time, so it will be great to get to see back on the circuit. Personally, I'd like to see Rockingham back on the schedule as well...
I'm just cautious because the short track racing with the NextGen car has been lackluster, to say the least. I have a feeling there won't be a lot of good "boys have at it" racing that people are hoping for. -
I love the integration of the city flag onto the jersey. It felt very seamless. Having no logo on the cap is a bold choice too; however, I think it works.
Keep up the great work!- 1

I'm EXCITED for the old Quaker State scheme to come back. If only they did an old DW/Ricky Rudd Tide Ride throwback for Haley (I'm really hoping the Tide sponsorship wasn't a one and done)...also, Herbst and the 98 team doing a tribute to Ken Block is great stuff as well.
However, in my opinion, the best throwback will be coming at the All-Star Race, when Harvick races the 29 one last time...

Chicago Cubs
Cubs fan reporting for duty...
But seriously, you did a great job with this concept. I feel like I am in the minority that actually likes the "Cuba" jersey, and I'm glad you were able to adapt that into a new alternate. The City Connect style hat is a great fit for it too (speaking as a flag nerd). I don't know why, but the cream fits the Cubs pretty well.
Also, now that you said it, I realize how right you are - the NL logo on the sleeve did somehow work.
Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see what you have next.- 2

Of course I've also seen countless people wearing a Yankees cap or some other apparel with that NY mark, a good majority of them probably not knowing or caring that they're an actual baseball team.
Bouncing off of that, the thrifting subculture here has expanded in recent years, and a result of that is seeing many people my age wearing NASCAR merchandise with probably zero knowledge of the sport.
I'm glad that at least the sport is getting noticed by people my age, however most times I want to be a natural heel and go up to them and quiz them on NASCAR trivia. It more like a "fashion trend" these days.
The good news is that I have gotten my fair share of vintage NASCAR merch... -

I hope it is, but other than the Eagles who are going with the kelly green helmet, is anyone else confirmed as changing their alternate lids this year?
Arizona introduced their new black helmets, but that's all I can think of.

No kidding. This seems like a bad use of social media. By hyping up the post with a date on it, you’re telling people something tangible will be announced or released. Instead, they use this post to do a collab with the Breaking Bad guys to show that “they’re cooking in the Draft Lab”? Weak.SEAN! WE NEED TO COOK!

The team can keep the name, but change the branding to feel more “Vegas-y”.
I feel like they can keep the green around as "legacy" branding per-se, but I don't know how they can change the branding that doesn't make it look like cliché of Vegas design tropes.

I agree. The foundation is good, however that word mark looks like a skeleton of a font.
To sound off of @tigers, I do see how the helmet can get lost. Could switching the color scheme? -

FX when it launched was all about being kooky. Their big properties were Adam West Batman reruns and a morning show with Tom Bergeron and a puppet.
And within a few years, Adam West would be having a career renaissance and Bergeron would be hosting AFV and Hollywood Squares...

Fun fact: one of the names Oregon considered in the 1920s when they decided on the Webfoots (which was originally from a group of fishers in American Revoultion-era Massachusetts) included the Yellow Jackets.
Yes. The Oregon Yellow Jackets.
