  1. Toronto Blue Jays X The Weeknd

There are a decent selection of artists for Toronto but I landed on the Weekend mainly because I saw a good opportunity fro a logo with The Weeknd. I took this logo he uses that features his face and usually a heart, but swapped it out with a maple leaf as a take on the Blue Jays logo. The Jays lettering stays as we get THE WEEKND on the front and STARBOY on the back

  2. Hogwarts Houses

So Harry Potter is a huge franchise and instead of trying to do jerseys based on any characters I decided to base them off of the Hogwarts houses. I did each team as one of the different houses, but each house could easily be done any of the sports. We see Gryffindor as the baseball uniform. Slytherin as the basketball jersey; with a diamond pattern taken from the full crest. Ravenclaw as the football uniform. And Hufflepuff as the Hockey jersey. The names on the backs are the names of the founders of each house and the number 7 comes from the houses qudditch teams. Both Harry and Malfoy wore 7 so I decided to use it for all four jerseys

  3. Maleficent

To go along with the Sleeping Beauty set I also put together a Maleficent set. The Baseball jersey is pretty straight forward. A pullover style jersey taking color cues from Maleficent. The basketball jersey features green flames at the bottom and Forbidden Mountain as the city name. The footbal uniform features a horn pattern on the helmet and a sleeve pattern to match the character.  The hockey jersey also features a flame design at the bottom of the jersey

  4. Tampa Bay Rays X Mel Tillis

For the Rays there weren't a whole lot of choices, and some of the bigger names didn't quite fit a baseball jersey. So I went with Mel Tillis for the baseball jersey and I gotta say it works pretty well. Stutterin' Boy on the back of the jersey is the title of one of Tillis' hit songs. The hat and jersey get new wordmarks in the color of the Rays

  5. Halo

I got a request by my brother to do a halo themed set. This is what I came up with. They are all based on Master Chief directly. I tried to use the placement of colors to somewhat replicate Chiefs armor whithout making it look like a subliminated print. My favoorite elements is the orange front panel on the baseball hat replicating Chiefs visor

After three red teams in a row it's now time for our first green team to make for a visual change of pace... mostly.

    9. Coast City Lanterns (Green Lantern)

Name: Northern California's first NHSL franchise was named in tribute to a former minor league team, which in turn was named after the Coast City Lantern; a green lighthouse that overlooks the city and is a popular local landmark.

Logo: A simple graphic representation of a lantern formed by two mirrored C’s, with two trapezoids above and below. Curiously it resembles a railroad lamp rather than the lighthouse the club shares its name with, though it’s said that the lighthouse keeper uses a lantern of this type, and it often gives off a distinct green glow from afar. The logo is a modified version of the old Lanterns crest, which was contained within a yellow circle and featured the team’s name and a pair of crossed hockey sticks.

    Colours: Green, black and white.

Jerseys: The home jersey is green with black and white sleeves, and a single white stripe on the hem. Paired with a road white uniform with green and black sleeves, it’s a very understated look - perhaps appropriately so for the league’s first green team.

Third Jersey: A direct throwback to their minor league predecessors, who wore a primarily red sweater with green and gold accents.

Admittedly, Green Lantern is a series I’m not that familiar with. I always thought the logo was a bit abstract and too simple, but working on this team led me to learn how it came about and what exactly it’s meant to resemble, and as such I’ve come to appreciate it more; it’s abstract, but it works! Even so it’s just a couple of tweaks away from being suitable for hockey, so I took it in two directions; one more like a traditional crest, and the other a retro inspired old timey look. The only significant change I’ve made is splitting the ring into two mirrored C’s for Coast City.

For the most part I’ve deliberately avoided super literal hockey versions of the heroes’ suits, but the design of Hal Jordan’s suit happened to fit the mould in a similar way to the Philadelphia Flyers; a somewhat simple look putting emphasis on the primary colour. The third is a nod to the original Green Lantern, Alan Scott; ironically I chose this team to do next to make a change after three red teams in row, and yet here we are with another one. Still, interesting that his suit was mostly red (maybe it was those limited printing palettes again?)

Great job! That 3rd jersey is amazing and a cool nnod to the character history

  7. Seattle Mariners X Modest Mouse

Seattle is another place that has a rich music scene so it was hard to pick one, but I ultimately landed on Modest Mouse. I chose them for the Mariners mainly because they have a logo that has an anchor and it felt like it fit witht he Mariners Branding well; don't wory there will be other Seattle teams to use some of the more iconic bands from the region. So I went with the Mariners teal jersey and placed MM wordmark on the front and then added the baloon/anchor logo in the same way the compass rose is used in the Mariners wordmark. The saem logo adorns the hat. The back of the jersey is of coourse a reference to the bands biggest hit.

  8. San DIego Padres X P.O.D.

FOr the Padres I had to go with my favortie band P.O.D. There might be bigger names that have come out of San Diego, but they are always the first name that I think of when I hear SD. I used the bands newest wordmark as I felt it most closely fit in with the Padres look. The Padre logo on the sleeve has een replaced by a grim reaper swinging his sickle that the band has featured on some merch and then the Trinity logo is on the hat. The back features the term Warriors which the band uses in reference to their fans

god, these are really cool. I have a ton of suggestions I'd love to give, but just to name three, it'd be sweet to see Del the Funky Homosapien (or Hieroglyphics in general) for Oakland, Morbid Angel for Tampa Bay to represent the massive role Tampa has played in American extreme metal, and Fugazi for Washington to represent DC's importance to the development of post-hardcore.

Thanks! I was really close to doign Del for the A's. I'll keep the other two in mind
