  1. I just need each playoff game to be one team in white and one team in color. I'd be fine with color at home (it's what I'm used to in the NHL and NFL) but I need that condition to be satisfied and it has to consistently be either white at home or color at home.
  2. As a primarily hockey and football fan, it's very jarring to go from the insanely strict playoff uniform regulations that the NHL and NFL impose to the free-for-all of the NBA. White at home in the playoffs NEEDS to be enforced. The only NBA Finals that's felt even remotely like a Finals series was the 2022 series where all games featured white at home and the clinching Game 6 was Warriors primary blue vs Celtics primary white. Black at home for the Celtics in this series feels especially disgraceful.
  3. You have to tinker with the image link. All 2023 uniforms will have "2023" in the URL, so change that to 2024. You might have to change the letter designation at the end of the URL a few times as well to get the combo you want.
  4. I think the darker red was still vibrant because pretty much every picture you see of those red jerseys these days was taken in perfectly sunny conditions. The darker red was way more noticeable indoors or at night.
  5. GUD has already created 2024 season pages with each team's schedule, but with placeholder images for obvious reasons. Use inspect element and replace the placeholder image. Links to each uniform combo on GUD should be pretty easy to find.
  6. Here ya go, translated the chunk of text into images I do hope we get this many red/pewter games. Personally, I don't see them starting to wear red at home for a day game until the final two weeks of the season, but we'll see.
  7. Obviously can't speak for the whole fanbase, but I'd much rather stick with the fanservice uniforms than roll the dice on a "modern" updated take on Niners uniforms and end up with an overdesigned Nike disaster. I appreciate the team choosing to look that way and sticking with it: Only one pair of pants (and in theory, only one pair of socks) is ever worn with either primary uniform. I prefer that to looking completely unrecognizable every five years. I also simply think the current uniforms are good uniforms.
  8. The late 90s/early 00s uniforms weren't bad as far as redesigns from that era go, but there's no world where I wouldn't consider them a massive downgrade from the classic Niners look. I have two main problems with them: The shoehorning of black into the uniforms. I get that black is in the logo, but I don't think it was necessary and made the striping and numbers too busy. The darkening of the red. Why, why, why, why, why. The brighter and bolder the red, the better for the Niners in my opinion. This change in the red was as bad as the Eagles flipping kelly for midnight green. "Tougher," yes, but duller. The best change that the return to the classics made was a return to a brighter red.
  9. The Niners haven't worn their primary white uniforms at home in decades (not counting the end of the pandemic season when they forgot to pack their white throwbacks for Week 17 vs Seattle). I seriously doubt they'll ever intentionally do so again.
  10. Oh for sure I expect a couple of surprises, but Niners uniform schedules tend to be very repetitive. I'm hoping for green/white/white/green from the Jets in Week 1, and in fact I'm not convinced adding green pants to the uniform set was even necessary, given that they'll create green leggings every time they're worn. The Niners wear the red throwback for their home opener every year (it's always on primetime as well), and all-white in Seattle became the team's tradition after they clinched the NFC West in Seattle in 2019. It's TNF so I'd be shocked if the Seahawks aren't wearing barf green. They love wearing the red throwback against the Rams in primetime as well so I expect that will continue on TNF this year. I wonder if the Niners and the Cowboys feel like they have to respect the traditional uniform matchup by never changing it. I can count five times over the entire duration of the rivalry that the matchup was something other than Niners primary red vs Cowboys primary white. Two of those instances were in 1994, when the Niners essentially used the red throwbacks as a primary. The only other time in the past 45 years was in 2008 when the Cowboys wore their navy throwbacks. Lions in blue pants would be nice, but I don't have much faith in them to make good uniform decisions. I really hope we get Miami's throwbacks in that game, but I do expect the Dolphins to wear aqua for a late afternoon game in December regardless.
  11. The NFL only allows three alternate slots per season. Unless they give special permission, I doubt we see three black uniform games plus a color rush game.
  12. I like making uniform predictions, so I'll post mine for the Niners:
  13. Benn and Duchene I get, what's so unlikable about Pavelski?
  14. - Death - Taxes - The Stars losing Game 1 of a playoff series in overtime (this is the fifth time this has happened in the last two years) How do you not score on a four minute powerplay in overtime?
  15. They're allowed three alternate games, so one would assume they wear navy for at least one of them, and I would like two throwback games, but we can really only confidently expect one.
  16. Nah, I have a feeling they're gonna up the throwback games by picking completely random opponents for them like the Panthers or the Falcons who are just gonna wear all-white to ruin the matchup
  17. Can't believe this needs to be said, but . . . at least it has a stripe
  18. I'd set the O/U for the number of times that this combo actually sees action during the season over a monochrome or leggings combo at around 2.5
  19. Probably one of the tamer replies the Hurricanes have received tbh
  20. The Carolina loss is also brutal for them because look at their list of pending free agents . . .
  21. I can't believe they're still going. You lost. If it wasn't pathetic before, it definitely is now (although there is something to be said about Islanders fans being happy for a Rangers win)
  22. This but any playoff hockey that involves the team you cheer for
