  1. Even this small change with the striping could've helped with the Namath era uniforms
  2. The mustard gold that the Ravens used for their gold pants is different enough from "athletic gold" (yellow) that there shouldn't be too much confusion. I always thought of the Vikings as the "brighter" purple team and the Ravens as the "darker" purple team.
  3. I'm just gonna keep repeating what I've been saying all season: This has to be the year for the Niners. If not now, I don't know when they're gonna get a better shot. Everything has fallen into place for them.
  4. Yeah, sorry about that. Isn't always easy to find good photos of a game on the day that it's played
  5. Saw this one in person. Cannot understate how much better these colors look than black, tan, and orange.
  6. ??? All three of these blow black leggings out of the water. I'll go a step further and say the Ravens should throw out stripeless black pants entirely.
  7. Considering the jersey set being retired includes two navy jerseys, that isn't a guarantee of four jersey colors.
  8. Ehh, that would literally turn the Jets into the Colts but in green
  9. Buck and Aikman have gotten a lot more fun since they moved to ESPN. It's like they got their money and then decided that they don't care anymore so they just let themselves be more loose.
  10. I'm the opposite. If you want to do some gimmicky color vs color game in the regular season, be my guest. Have fun with it. But in the playoffs, I'm a hardline traditionalist. I just want primary uniforms in traditional combinations (i.e. no monochrome or leggings). Bringing the color vs color gimmick to a playoff game would cheapen it to me.
  11. That's probably the worst way they could possibly use the H-town blue: BFBS/GFGS. What are you smoking?
  12. 4th of the last 5. I think having this one at home will be a significant help for us.
  13. Just gotta hope that the 49ers figure out what was malfunctioning tonight and get back to their regular season form. Especially in the playoffs, though, I'm just happy to see my team win. That's the most important thing, everything else comes after that.
  14. No, no, no. The 49ers belong in gold helmets and gold helmets only. Plus, the uniforms are already true throwbacks. It's explicitly stated in every single bit of marketing that the throwbacks are 1994 throwbacks. The current helmet with throwback decals is accurate to the 1994 uniforms. I've never liked the idea of seeing the 49ers in red helmets, and I hope they never do it.
  15. Dude, no one takes what's being said here that seriously. We come on this site to bicker about sports logos and uniforms, none of this is gonna affect your life.
  16. There's no reason to update the font. That's just changing something for the sake of changing something. You can never go wrong with standard block font.
  17. Confirmed: The Lions were doing a little trolling. I wasn't on the side of people complaining about uniform reveal posts, but the Lions getting into petty squabbling matches with random Twitter accounts this week was entirely unnecessary. You can be as funny as you want with the actual reveal post, but all the BS that came before it was going too far.
  18. The 49ers actually petitioned the league to allow them to wear all-white in Super Bowl LIV, but the NFL essentially told them to off. They approved the Rams making the same request with their "modern throwbacks" two years later in Super Bowl LVI. For aesthetic reasons, this worked out wonderfully, but I do have to wonder if that was it, or if there was any other thought process for the NFL denying the 49ers' request but approving the Rams' request (In addition, the 49ers had only used two alternate slots in 2019, while the Rams had already worn those white uniforms three times in 2021).
  19. Disagree on this one. The whole point of why the legacy uniforms beat out the current uniforms is that black is not shoehorned into the color scheme. The white facemask fits way better with the white wordmark.
  20. Exactly why I'm never gonna be completely sold on that logo.
  21. Gradients are fun as special alternate jerseys. They should never be anywhere near a team's primary look.
  22. Disagree. To me, the legacy uniforms essentially solve all the issues I have with the current Jets uniforms. - First and foremost, they eliminate black. Gets rid of the loophole that allows them to wear black alternates and mix and match to create that white-over-black atrocity. - The helmet wordmark is superior in every way - No silly "NEW YORK" wordmark above the numbers - When in doubt, go with regular block numbers. There are extremely few instances I prefer a custom number font to athletic block. The Jets are not one of those instances. - Better striping. No random stripe curving into the middle of the jersey. Really, the only change I'd make to the Jets' legacy set is to add a pair of green pants and striped white socks to wear on the road. But even then, it's not really necessary. With all of the throwbacks in football this season, these were my favorites precisely because they were so clearly a better version of the current set. I mean come on.
  23. I was a flying skate fan for the longest time, mostly because I associated it with 1994 as a Rangers fan, but more recently in the last year or so I've come around more on the current uniforms. I've come to realize that the skate jerseys were a mediocre logo paired with a mediocre color scheme, one that isn't all that unique (Calgary, one of Vancouver's biggest rivals, basically has that same color scheme, even though I'd like them to completely drop black). Regarding the current jerseys, they're just about the best the Canucks have ever had, with a few changes I'd make: - Not sold on the orca. It's perfectly fine, but given its history, it still feels like something that was forced on the franchise by ownership. Ideally, I'd put the stick-in-rink on the jersey, but it's not a big deal. - Get rid of Agency font. It just doesn't look right on a jersey design that's about as traditional as it gets. I actually thought that the pants stripes somewhat balanced it out, but especially if you're just going to wear solid blue pants, drop that font and just wear regular block font - Bring back the pants stripes (Yes, I know I'm essentially asking for these back. These are my favorite Canucks uniforms of all time.) But above all else, do not change the color scheme. It's far superior to any other in franchise history.
  24. I don't know that there's necessarily a rule that you have to wear more traditional combos, but the NFL does seem to be more strict about ensuring a good uniform matchup. By the rules, the 2021 Rams should not have been allowed to wear their (at the time) white alternates in the Super Bowl, but the NFL made sure that "bone" wouldn't be anywhere near that game.
