  1. Green on green with white socks isn't terrible for the Jets. It kind of puts some more emphasis on white, which SHOULD be their secondary color and not black. Tampa's red over pewter is one of the best looks in the entire league. Why does it only show up two times a year?? I'm hoping for Dallas in blue over silver against Detroit in Honolulu blue pants. Knowing them, though, I bet we get both teams in white leotards.
  2. The shade of gold that suits the Saints is the one they began with. No khaki, no bronze. Those inaugural uniforms were perfect. They fall into the "They Got it Right the Very First Time" category with the Falcons, Vikings, Oilers and Dolphins.
  3. So here's what we know going into week 17: -San Fran blew out Dallas and Philly but got smacked around by Baltimore; -Baltimore lost to the Steelers, Colts and Browns; -Philly can win close games and also look very bad simultaneously; -Dallas beat Philly (and bad teams) handily but got outplayed by SF and Buffalo and is ponderous away from Arlington; -The Chiefs are a mess but still have Mahomes; -Miami got destroyed by Buffalo; -Buffalo is dreadfully inconsistent; -Detroit got smacked by Baltimore and may not have been tested too badly yet; ...These playoffs are gonna be UNPREDICTABLE.
  4. So teams COULD wear stripes on the socks, they would just rather wear leotards instead. Merry Christmas.
  5. If they used navy the way the Bills did, to accent the Columbia blue and red, I wouldn't hate it.
  6. I was really hoping we'd get the Panthers black helmet with the blue jersey this year. Oh well.
  7. Oh, I was being sarcastic...I said that's what they'll PROBABLY do, and not what they SHOULD do... I take uniforms very seriously, and I have a very annoyed wife who can vouch for that.
  8. What the Broncos should do for their rebrand: -Modern adaptation of the 1968-1996 home and away uniforms, complete with orange pants with the white jerseys. Colors: light royal blue, orange, white. -1997 Navy blue throwback to recognize the Elway Super Bowls (navy alternate helmet). Blue pants double the uniform as a Color Rush if required. What the Broncos will probably do for their rebrand: -Adaptation of the color rush unis a la Patriots. Navy helmet with new ridiculous logo shoehorning the 'D' and the robot-horse together. No stripes on the pants. White uniform elements are black and neon orange. Colors: navy, neon orange, black, white. -"Colorado Dispensary Nights" all-black alternate uniforms with neon orange accents and no blue. -No throwbacks at all.
  9. The only reason I would ever get behind further expansion is to explore unused color schemes. So many combinations are just sitting out there: light blue/purple, purple/orange, maroon/orange, purple/silver, red/silver....
  10. Lions blue over blue, again, vs Denver tonight. That's become their primary home look, with white/white leggings as their primary road uniform. Absolute nonsense and approaching Saints territory. I heard they were also looking at another uniform change for 2024 but honestly that'll probably be even worse.
  11. I would like to see teal socks with the all-black uniform. I bet that would look great.
  12. Proof that when the Bills wear the correct combinations, they have a top three uniform in the league. Infuriating that it so rarely happens. The Eagles should just scrap the black alts and make an away version of their Kelly Greens, Dolphins style. They wore that a bunch at home against Dallas in the 90s. Jags, come on: there is such a thing as TOO MUCH TEAL.
  13. I think this may be the first time B/W/T/B has ever been worn. If I'm not mistaken!
  14. Well the Falcons, unlike the Cardinals, have a precedent for silver, so I always thought of it as a way to tie that in. I always felt the key line should be Georgia Tech Gold, but anyways.
  15. I read that silver was added to mimic the look of the very metallic State Farm Stadium. No, I'm not kidding.
  16. Now that the Broncos and Saints screwed up big time with their cute helmets, the Steelers probably have the best remaining Color Rush uniform, right?
  17. The Cardinals’ new uniforms are pretty underrated in my opinion — in terms of a team adapting their classic look to the modern era. The home red jersey has no stripes; the road one has the similar classic striping of their old STL whites. If they wore white pants at home and red socks on the road, it would be a near-perfect adaptation. The problem is…they don’t. Also, I must be weird or something, because I prefer Arizona’s previous all-black(Color Rush) uniforms to the new ones…
  18. The problem with the STL Rams uniforms wasn’t the colors, it was the bubbly number font, the inconsistent striping, shoehorning the secondary logo on the sleeves, and their insistence on incorporating unnecessary white pants. Not to mention the side panels (early on) and the devastating hybrid of 2017-2019 (later). Blue and white helmet and pants with random gold on the jersey. Who approves these things?
  19. This is exactly what they should do. More teams need to do this. Your opponent wears white at home? Use that third game to showcase your home throwback on a national stage. Tampa, Atlanta, Philly, New England — do it. AND your home crowd sees your normal home look for one game. Win-win!
  20. When the Panthers debuted the process blue jerseys, they wore black helmets at the photo shoots. Subsequently, I thought this week we may get Black/Blue/Black/Blue, which would look FANTASTIC. And yet, we get process blue leggings, out of nowhere, for the league’s 235th monochrome look. Then again, it’s the Panthers, who *may* have bigger things to worry about. I would like to see the blue pants with the black or white jerseys, because, screw it, why not?
