  1. Fair enough. And I know these are leaks, but I would think whoever uploaded these would crop out the sides.
  2. I saw something odd in the Texans story on Uni-Watch. The uniform pictures are from a screenshot of Photoshop. Since the lighting and angles are the same on the Broncos screenshots, it looks like that is Photoshop as well. This doesn't mean the uniform pictures are wrong (accuracy at least), but it leaves enough room for doubt. And even if the pictures are accurate, the triangles may cause the same problem as the side panels. I'm assuming the three triangles are for the Super Bowls won, but if so what will the Broncos do if they win another Super Bowl in the next five years?
  3. I left that combo out because I'm not a big fan of pants and socks matching but not the jersey, or as I call it the yoga pants look. If the Lions had silver socks it might work. But I also want the Lions to use blue socks full time. Having only white or silver pants, both of which would look fine with either primary jersey, would encourage the Lions to do that.
  4. The Lions missed a good opportunity with the pants if they want multiple options. Making all the pants interchangeable was overkill. I would suggest something like this (primary only) Silver pants: remain the same, use with both jerseys Blue pants: add silver stripes, restrict to the blue jerseys White pants: match the stripes of the silver pants, use with both jerseys Teams are starting to return to classic jersey designs, so hopefully the pants designs and options will follow suit at some point. I'm not asking teams to only use one pair of pants, but too many options can kill a good jersey.
  5. The jerseys may be better than we think, but I can't judge based on this leak due to the lighting. Everything looks too dark if the main colors are remaining the same. Whoever is in charge of preventing leaks for the Texans isn't even doing a second-rate job at this point.
  6. I saw that too on Uni-Watch. But there are two ways to deal with this. 1. The Eagles wear black, and the Packers wear white. 2. The ban is informal, so it is not enforced in this game. Should both fall through, the game is moved to the Linc. But I'm sure the teams' colors are known in Brazil, so my money is on the second option.
  7. One nice thing about the Texans having four different uniform styles: this will save some time with R&D for a new set if we're right about this bombing. Whichever one gets the best response can be replicated with colors swapped when the time comes, and the idea of having multiple uniform styles will be a proven failure. Since teams are leaning toward classic uniform styles again, it gives me hope that the Texans will listen to feedback if this fails.
  8. It's a slow healing process. But maybe it will look better with the uniform when we see it.
  9. It's in the blog section, May 2020. GUD did a preview of all the new uniforms for that season, with all foreseeable combinations.
  10. At least these were professionally shot. I'd rather have something like that than what happened with the Texans.
  11. The red pants could work with this uniform if a few things were different. If the colors of the side panels and the numbers were swapped, that would address both my issues.
  12. I don't know about photoshop, but GUD has an illustration of that combo, among others. The one you're looking for is bottom-center. Personally, I'm not a fan. The side panels would have the same issue the Broncos had when they wore their white jerseys with the navy pants. And there's not enough red on the jersey for me. It's like when the Jaguars wear their white jerseys and teal pants with black socks, they're trying to use all their colors with no balance.
  13. For me, it's having too many teams using the same primary colors. I started watching football in 2009, and there were eight teams using navy, and it would have been nine if the Titans hadn't switched to Columbia Blue the previous season. That made it difficult for me to recognize teams at first, and that stuck with me. I can accept the white jerseys for contrast, but the primary colors were difficult at first.
  14. But with black it's pretty much a Panthers ripoff with red instead of blue.
  15. I think the lighter silver would work if the jersey was red. You stated the problems already with that look as a primary, but as an alternate that could work. If and when the Falcons change jerseys, they should consider making red the primary jersey color again.
  16. Thanks for clarifying. I don't think it's necessary either, especially since that sentence no longer makes sense, but policy is policy.
  17. Maybe the change was small enough that it doesn't violate the clock. When the Rams changed the helmet horns in 2017, that only lasted three years.
  18. Sounds good to me. For future reference, why was my post changed? I don't believe in re-writing history, but I would have worded it differently if I knew that wasn't allowed.
  19. Yeah, Washington should have left the uniforms alone once the Native American imagery was removed. There was nothing wrong with those uniforms, and I could easily see Washington changing back to them the first chance they get. They probably can't go back to being the (Commanders), but the uniforms should be acceptable.
  20. Color Rush is what brought me back from just blaming Nike. I linked to an article about the Giants' CR saga in an earlier post for backup. We must not forget that whoever comes up with the designs, the NFL has final say on if they're used. The real problem is too many of the wrong cooks in the kitchen. The people coming up with the designs don't seem to remember they're designing football uniforms first and foremost. As a result, the throwbacks that actually look like football uniforms end up overtaking the primaries often as a team's most popular jersey. Hopefully the Falcons will take note of this next year. They don't even need to do a big R&D because their throwbacks should be easy to translate to a white and a red jersey.
  21. I never understood how a black jersey was supposed to work for the Lions. If the numbers are white, they look like the Panthers. If the numbers are silver, they look like the Raiders. And blue can be difficult to read, even with silver borders on the numbers. Hopefully the Lions realized this too.
  22. I don't think choosing the jerseys for games is as difficult as people may think. Using the Jaguars, I would imagine they start with something like this: White: September home games and road Teal: non-September home afternoon games and road for WAH (white at home) Black: London and primetime home games The throwback will likely be used for primetime home games. As for the full uniform, the Jaguars likely are taking requests for pants and socks with each jersey.
  23. You beat me to it. It is still possible that black pants and/or white socks appear at some point, but with no black on the jersey the black pants may be restricted to the black jersey.
  24. That's probably why they didn't. If the Texans wore that combo, it would look too much like the Broncos or the Bears (alt. orange).
  25. I saw something too. None of the players were wearing white socks. I'm sure that will change in the fall, but it's interesting to see.
