During a game broadcast the numbers will disappear when the players are running. Fortunately baseball is easier to track without numbers than other sports.

I said Lee Hutton is going to need good lawyers, but after reading his Twitter profile, I can say he is definitely the kind of guy who will represent himself at trial.

This is AAF x MLFB+the last season of the UFL 2009 levels of grifting. At this pace the NAL won't have to worry about blocking the Desert Hawks because the league will be dead by June.

Germany and Italy will each have five teams in next year's Champions League. If Dortmund wins this year, Germany will have six teams. If they lose this year, they will get in as the fifth team in Bundesliga this year if the current standings remain unchanged.

"Germany moved into a position of strength due to Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen both knocking out English clubs -- Arsenal and West Ham, respectively -- to reach the semifinals.

Coincidentally the extra place is set to go to Dortmund, who are likely to finish fifth in the Bundesliga as they sit five points behind RB Leipzig with only three fixtures remaining.

If Dortmund win the Champions League and finish fifth, then the Bundesliga will have six teams in the Champions League -- the top four, Dortmund as Champions League titleholders, plus the European Performance Spot. The Bundesliga would forfeit one of its place in the Europa League, which would have been taken up by Dortmund".

I think the shoulder stripes are my favorite addition. They really make the jersey pop, even more so on the away whites.

The pants need stripes as well. I know there isn't anything on the helmets, but the pants should have stripes if the jerseys have them. The stripe pattern from the set previous to the one that's been replaced is all you need for the pants.

    UFL in 2026 (crossing fingers)

    EAST

    Birmingham

    D.C.

    Memphis

New Orleans (relocated from Houston '25)

    Orlando (relocated from Michigan '25)

    WEST

    Arlington

    San Antonio

    San Diego (expansion '26)

    Seattle (expansion '26)

    St. Louis

If you ditch the USFL/XFL conferences, I'd keep Memphis and St. Louis together. I think that short distance would help their rivalry much better. New Orleans is further west than St. Louis as well.

I'd go with Rhythm instead of either of these. It just flows better too.

I like the look, but I'd choose a different number font. The 4 on this font treads uncomfortably close to the 4 on the German soccer team's jerseys. That 4 famously caused an uproar that now prevents people from ordering customized 44 jerseys.

It's also not as legible as they need numbers to be.

I don't know about sales for U-H, but if the NFL did nothing, how many other college teams may try to do something like this? One imitator may not be a problem, but the potential for cumulative damage may be worth taking action.

But I agree that shutting everything down may be excessive. The Iowa Hawkeyes have been using Steelers look-alike uniforms for decades, so there may be a middle ground somewhere.

There's only so many different ways to dress up a uniform within NCAA rules. They're actually more stringent than the NFL.  Bowling Green has used designs similar to the Browns from time to time, but not as much lately as coaches seem to pick whatever is adidas' or Nike's latest team wear look. Granted, the amount of times teams could be on TV at the time was limited so these looks wouldn't have been seen as much as today.

It's also important to remember that Houston has blue as one of it's school colors so adding it to their football uniforms wouldn't be out of the ordinary. Sky blue is a change though, but not unheard of. Look at the Colorado football teams in teh late 1980's that had blue and gold uniforms before switching back to black and gold.

It seems unlikely that the Maulers will ever play a game in Pittsburgh.  Out of all of the teams that did not return coming out of the merger, the Breakers are the most likely to return and actually play games in the city that they were designated for.  I would say the Sea Dragons as well but I can't see them returning yet until the league is able to add teams closer to them.  Now the issue is where? Denver?  Utah?  Portland?  The reports are that they didn't go to California due to costs.  Obviously Vegas did not work.

Of the teams that did not return, here's how I rank it from most likely to ever play a game in their city in the UFL to least likely:

    1. New Orleans Breakers
    2. Seattle Sea Dragons (if the UFL can get other Western cities)
    3. Philadelphia Stars
    4. New Jersey Generals
    5. The Gamblers (they would be higher if the UFL brings them back and moves them to a state where Gambling is legal, like Oklahoma)
    6. Orlando Guardians
    7. Pittsburgh Maulers
    8. Vegas Vipers

The only way the Gamblers should come back is in Houston, but I don't think it will happen. Louisiana is just as likely a spot for a team with that name as well as Oklahoma. I also don't think we need teams to have a USFL identity just because they had a previous USFL identity at some point in their past. For New Orleans, I think they need to be in Tulane's stadium and not the rugby league team site. Philadelphia and New Jersey should try getting into the MLS stadiums where they were from. If they were brought back together, along with Seattle and possibly Portland or Salt Lake City, it could work.

LOOK: Houston unveils special uniforms honoring Oilers for first game as Big 12 member - CBSSports.com

If this is the uniform the Cougars were planning to use, I can see why the NFL threatened to sue. This does look like an Oilers uniform and could cut into sales of those uniforms. You can't necessarily copyright colors, but you can copyright designs.

How many uniforms do U 0f H sell each year though? And how many people outside of the city are trying to get their hands on them? I'd say the sales are so small as to not threaten the NFL. Since they are changing the jerseys, I'd think they'll more closely resemble the rest of their current uniform set. That should be enough to keep the NFL out of their business.

As much as people hate it or think it's petty, if they don't defend the colors, then they lose them, and anyone can start selling merchandise without their approval.

This isn't about UH. It's about their property.

This level of pettiness is absolutely warranted after the Titans rubbed the Oilers brand in Houston's face by wearing the throwbacks against the Texans

It's about a color that three NFL teams are currently sharing shades of. If this went to an actual court, the only question is, "How was the NFL injured by this"? Since the NFL and NCAA aren't on the same level, I'd suggest that they are not financially injured, nor are they at risk of someone watching the Houston Cougars playing the Baylor Bears and people thinking the Titans and Packers game got moved to a Saturday.

The thin material and the dollar store patterns just seem lazy and uninspired to me.

The material is thin because it's more of a rain jacket than  a regular jacket. It's meant to be thin, otherwise Stallions fans would bake in them.

    USFLMJ0019A.jpg?v=1712848766&width=533

They also make baseball jackets as well, but they haven't come up with anything for the UFL yet.

I'd still love to see Starter involved, but I don't think we'll see that happen unless they provide jackets and hats under another brand.

This looks like poor quality fabric for the price.

I'd say it's just below Starter in terms of quality. It's a small company so the prices will always be a bit higher than they should be. If you look at any of the hats and other items they sell, they are a bit higher price wise than they should be. I was more disappointed they only had jackets for three of the teams.

That sounds good, but other than building on top of the end zones, I don't know how they'll get that done. I'm guessing it means a lot of teardown and rebuild though, based on the current layout of the stadium. Is that rail line still operational as well?

CPKC only seats 11,500. While that may be about average for now with some lower attendances, it's far below the ideal average they'd prefer. Children's Mercy Park in KCKS seats just under 18,500. Used to think that was a tad small for the desired 20k, but would be fine at this point in time.

    Children's%20Mercy%20Park.jpg?cb=f41b97f

Children's Mercy Park makes more sense than CPKC. You want your stadium to be slightly larger than expected crowds instead of limiting growth. I haven't heard of anyone considering Kansas City, however.

    whm050124fitkccurrentstadium-005-65f1e9a

Other than building up the sides, expansion is pretty limited here. It's still got more space to work with than the Pittsburgh Riverhounds' stadium does. I still don't know why people get excited about the idea of playing in a stadium that seats under 6,000.
