I'm guessing you have the opinion due to political reasons. Well, I'm not a big fan of the socialist group up in Ottawa, but I'm still a big fan of the Canadian people and Canadian sports. Do not be ridiculous, every other competitor who goes to Games has to qualify, gold medal winner or otherwise, the same rules apply to U.S. men's baseball team.EDIT: If it was only because of one game, it sounds like they need to improve on the qualification system. random Posted August 13, 2004 Share Posted August 13, 2004 FYI, Major League Players are technically ALLOWED to play in the olympics, i mean the international governing body wants that, but the MLB establishment wont take the time off of the season to let them play, thats why we use AAA and AA players.
