CRDesigns Posted March 1 Share Posted March 1 Hey all, I have a soft spot for baseball designs, so I went ahead and made a team for my podcast's fantasy league. I chose Reno, Nevada as the location, and went with Reno Jacks as the team name in reference to the large casino culture in the city. Here are the jerseys! Home Jersey Away Jersey Alt 1 Alt 2 Red and black were chosen as the colours to reference the traditional deck of playing cards. The number font is also inspired by playing cards. Alt 2 is inspired by Bicycle playing cards (Specifically the standard red box), I have always loved the font used on there so picked something similar. WideRight Posted March 2 Share Posted March 2 Love the scripts, but I am a bit confused by the Jacks logo because the figure looks like he is wearing a crown, more like a King than a Jack. Jake3roo Posted March 2 Share Posted March 2 I think Alt 2 is the strongest of the set, and its number font certainly feels more like a real baseball team. Even though the regular set is nice, the number font doesn't fit the script. MDGP Posted March 2 Share Posted March 2 Overall a pretty nice set, however I've got to agree with Wide Right on the logo. When it comes to face cards (at least on modern playing cards), a beard is pretty much exclusive to the Kings, while the jacks tend to only have mustaches at most. Honestly you're like 90% of the way there.
