LMU
I'm watching the USC-Stanford game, and I noticed that Stanford has added a lot of black. The helmet stripe has black, the number outlines are black, and the collar/sleeve trim is black. When did they add the black? Oh, and the unis also feature a huge Nike swoosh, so perhaps that's the motivation.
gordie_delini
if i am correct, and i believe i might be, they added the black the season before last. but its stanfurd, and we really dont give a plop about them, now do we? (apologies to stanfurd alums and students, but i grew up a cal fan, my father went to cal, and i go to oregon)

TFoA
I asked the same question last year about Ohio State & San Diego State If you're number 1, you get the W no matter what
LMU
How does the supposed #1 team in the nation only win by three over Stanford? It's the whole "target on the back" theory. Teams playing the #1 team in the nation are more motivated, and if the #1 team is a little cocky, that's why we have these close scores.
