DEAD!
I thought Man United didn't create all that many good chances to win the game, for all there domination, and as such didn't really deserve the win in the end. But penalties does suck as a way to end a game. I always liked the golden goal rule [1 period of sudden death Over time before penalties], but that fell out of favour for some reason. Well, having a few good chances are better than no good chances As for the golden goal rule, I think the problem was that teams tend to get too defensive during the extra time and just kick the ball around, waiting for the penalties. At least with the silver goal rule, you can at least let a goal in and still have a chance to get a goal back. I saw, I came, I left.
Alphabet Man
what happened to repalys the next week? it works for us in the AFL for the Grand Final......i think draws should be allowed in sports like NFL and Rugby because the side left defending has an unfair disadvantage......in NFL like previously said, it depends on the toss of the coin.... twitter.com/thebrainofMatt
-kj
The AFL does a GF replay in the case of a tie?! That's insanity, especially given all the ceremony bfore the game. DEAD!
It has happened twice in VFL/AFL history 1948 Melbourve def. Essendon, and 1977 N. Melb def Collingwood. I think the reasons it can't happen in soccer are television, logistics, players' schedules. I saw, I came, I left.
