Argentina beat Tunisia today 2-1, taking a 2-0 lead and then surrendering a penalty kick goal late. Also, Germany beat Australia 4-3. Germany took a 1-0 lead, then Australia tied it 3 minutes later, and 3 minutes after that Germany scored, and then Australia tied it again 7 minutes later, so it was 2-2 at half. Germany then scored on a penalty kick goal, and then late, but then Australia scored in injury time.

Germany scored three goals in the last 15 minutes to beat Tunisia 3-0. Also, Argentina raced out to a 3-0 lead before Australia made it 3-2. Luciano Figueroa added a late goal for his hat trick and Argentina won 4-2.

Germany and Argentina have both clinched a spot in the semifinals. Their last match on Tuesday against eachother will decide the #1 spot. Whoever wins will get it, but if they draw Germany gets it.

Mexico had a second half goal to beat Brazil 1-0, and Japan did the same to beat Greece 1-0.

Mexico, having beat both Japan and Brazil, is Group B's #1 team. The winner of Japan-Brazil will be the other semifinalist from the group. If there is a draw, then Brazil goes through.

Germany and Brazil should be something. It might even be a WC '06 preview as well :)

I saw, I came, I left.

Adriano scored a second half goal yesterday to lead Brazil to a 3-2 win over Germany. Mexico and Argentina went to extra time scoreless with Mexico scoring first, and then Argentina answering, and prevailing 6-5 in penalty kicks. It will be Germany vs. Mexico for third place, and Argentina vs. Brazil in the championship.
