blackbeard's delight Posted July 11, 2005 Share Posted July 11, 2005 it almost seemed unfair that the Royals got to wear normal-sized, fairly modern-styled uniforms while the Twins had to wear oversized, collared, dark blue uniforms in the middle of a hot midwestern summer afternoon...and the bills of the hats were too short (were they able to block the sun well enough?) that said, those Monarchs uniforms are pretty sharp looking, i think. rockchalk Posted July 12, 2005 Share Posted July 12, 2005 The Royals seem to get better and better at this every year. This year they even went without helmet markings of any kind. I'm glad to see that some teams are paying attention to this. I know it's a little thing in the grand scheme, a one day deal like this, but especially in a "salute" game in front of the surviving players, it looks kind of tacky in my opinion to have completely different color schemes b/c teams don't take the time to consider things like that.
