I'm (pretty needlessly) working on a redesign of DetroitHockey.Net and I'm looking for some feedback on what I've got so far. The new design is at http://www.detroithockey.net/test and the current one is at (of course) http://www.detroithockey.net. Any thoughts on the new design in comparison to the old one are much appreciated. Thanks.SHB-like disclaimer...Also, I know a bunch of people on this board dislike the Wings. I'm not asking for your feeling about the team. I'm not asking if you hate the colors red and white. I'm asking how the site looks as a Red Wings site. Thanks. I like the design I use now, but (like most designers, I'd guess) I always want to keep playing with it. I was trying to go for a more "newsletter"-like design by flattening out the angles, but that ends up kinda boring.Most of the feedback, I've gotten has been "Eh, why bother?" so I'm probably gonna scrap the plans to redesign the site. But if anyone else wants to add feedback on the concept, go right ahead, I'd like to hear what you have to say. Another board was really enthusiastic about the new design, so I made it the default skin and kept the other as a skin option. Each is in three colors. CJR Posted September 2, 2003 Author Share Posted September 2, 2003 I was rewriting a bunch of the site this weekend anyway, so it wasn't a problem to add the extra chunk of code for the new skin in. It wouldn't have been worth it if I wasn't already rewriting things, but now I've made it much easier to add new skins.
