gordie_delini
I decided to take a cue from Astrobull and made my own Fantasy Sports Conglomerate - at first I wanted to name it the Gundell Sports Management Group, but I found that entirely too egotistical, so I renamed it the Oregon Sports Management Group. I wanted a clean, classy, professional look for this, that at the same time said "outdoorsy oregon". C&C would be great, and any ideas to improve this would be much appreciated. TwoRsAndTwoLs
The O logo is way out of balance, but for some reason, I dig. Like somehow it works despite it. Every Fifth Day is a
SouthSidePride
Dig it, it is classy and yet outdoors like. Nice job. HereCometheHawks.net
andrewharrington
The ultra-modern font seems to clash too much with the hand-drawn logo. Try a simple sans-serif, all lowercase, that doesn't draw very much attention to itself. The logo is very good and very interesting, but the text kind of overpowers it because it is so strong and geometric, in contrast with the delicate, handmade quality of the logo. For typefaces, look at something like myriad, helvetica, or something similar. It might work, it might not, but at least you can say you tried. gordie_delini
bump - edited the design incorporating tempests' suggestion - changed the font to all lowercase of humanist 521 condensed bold
andrewharrington
It works much better like this, though it still can be better. The large kerning makes it a little difficult to read, particularly the smaller type and to a lesser extent the larger, and the typeface may be a little too condensed. Do you have humanist regular bold? andrewharrington
I'll be honest. I'm bored as hell. Here is what I would do. Type is Eurostile of various weights. The brush line ties the text into the logo a little better. gordie_delini
oooh concept hijak! you know, i hate it when you make me look bad andrew - i'm just kidding, i like what you did there - i'm not too crazy about the font though - i think i might stick with the humanist and go with the regular bold like you said - i'll have to play with it though, see what works. i like that idea with the line being like the "o", and i'll reduce the kerning a bit. thanks for the ideas!
