...an amazing double play by Vizquel. astounding. groundball to 2nd, Durham tosses to Vizquel coming over 2nd from short..who then turns around and instead of going to first, FIRES it to third to get the Dodger who had taken a big turn on third. BAM.

...Dodgers had bases loaded one out, couldn't score.

...oh, and Hennessey beaned Jeff Kent.

...Dodgers pitcher then plunks Bonds and gets tossed. EXcellent.

That HBP wasn't intentional. If you are going to hit someone you don't hit them in the elbow, it is too hard to hit them there. You aim for the back. That pitch hit Bonds in the arm it was just an inside pitch that hit Bonds because Bonds leans over the plate. The pitcher shouldn't have been thrown out.

look in the media player to see the amazing DP vizquel did. unreal.

from SFGate:

Vizquel's defensive genius also contributed to the win. With two on and one out in the sixth, Kenny Lofton hit a slow bouncer to Durham, who flipped to Vizquel for the force at second. Knowing he had no shot at doubling up Lofton, Vizquel immediately swiveled left and fired a throw to third, where runner Cody Ross had rounded the bag. Pedro Feliz tagged him out for the double play.

Knowing how fast Lofton is, Vizquel actually advised Feliz during a meeting on the mound to be ready for that play, and the shortstop turned it, he said, for the fourth time in his career.

"It floors me the way he thinks, how under control he is," catcher Mike Matheny said. "Any kid in America who wants to be a big-league shortstop should watch every move he makes. Every kid in Venezuela, too."
