Mac the Knife
I think you'll see every team back except for Boston... after all, it's only been a matter of a few days. Nobody $hitcanned their sales staffs, no one cancelled lease arrangements. Boston will get a pass to get another year to solidify their organization, which they probably needed otherwise they'd go in 2008.Anyone know anything about the terms of the deal? Viper
A bit OT, but since I can't seem to find the Boston NLL team thread I will post it here instead. Even though they are delaying their first season until 2009, I have made a Blazers sig for my NLL set:
Fred T. Jane
Replacement players will be from the semi-pro leagues.I assume you don't realize that the NLL is semipro to begin with, no? [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. BB61
Just to update this, the NLL re-released the schedule for the 2008 season. Besides Boston, the only team not to return for this season will be the Western Division champion Arizona Sting. Both Boston and Arizona will be dispersed at the draft tonight, and both teams will return for 2009. Arizona will reclaim their 2007 roster for next season, while Boston will redraft as an expansion team once again. Maybe they'll rethink their logo, too. Otherwise, shift the Swarm to the West already. I really don't mind; they haven't been in the league long enough to develop any real nasty rivalries yet.
