Sport Posted February 12, 2008 Share Posted February 12, 2008 Hockey player here. I wore a neckguard until I got to high school. As soon as I was allowed, I took it off. Even after seeing something like this, I probably still won't wear one. You play the sport, you take the risk. If zednik ever comes back it'll be interesting to see if he has one on. It does get a little sweaty in the third period but it?s not that big of a deal to me. If were to ever play hockey were I had the choice, I would still wear it, it's not that big of an inconvenience to me that I would risk a serious injury.
