fiasco!
this idiot makes news even when he's dead......Will says Williams wants to be frozen alongside fatherINVERNESS, Fla. (AP) -- John Henry Williams, son of Hall of Famer Ted Williams, wants his body frozen and kept alongside his father's corpse. The son's will dictates that his body be ``cryonically suspended'' by Alcor Life Extension Foundation in Scottsdale, Ariz., the St. Petersburg Times reported Saturday. John Henry Williams died of leukemia on March 6. After his father died July 5, 2002, he had Ted Williams' body taken to the Arizona cryonics lab to be frozen, in hopes that one day he might be somehow brought back to life. That set off a battle with his half-sister, Bobby-Jo Williams Ferrell, who said her father's will stated he wanted to be cremated. However, John Henry Williams said Ted Williams signed an informal family pact in 2000 in which he, John Henry and John Henry's youngest sister, Claudia Williams, agreed to have their bodies frozen when they died. Ferrell dropped her objections in December 2002. John Henry Williams' will, dated Dec. 22, pointedly leaves out Ferrell. It names Claudia Williams and Albert Cassidy, a trustee in the elder Williams' probate case, as personal representatives of the estate.this is wrong on so many levels....it angers me so much that an american icon is sitting frozen in a tube, just because he had a fluffing retard for a son! Shizznick
Where do they place the popsicle stick? realclearpolitics.com "Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. CC97
Why is this so unexpected? They all made a deal a few years back that when they died they'd all get frozen together... this was revealed a while ago... suddenly it's rediculous that they're sticking to the deal? --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram
winters in buffalo
Hypothethical questions for the philisophers in the group ...Suppose someone dies, is frozen, and then is somehow revived several years later. Are they ripped from whatever afterlife - heaven, hell, etc - that they believe in, and do they bring back that knowledge with them? Could that person potentially spark a holy war by disproving all but one religion - or even ALL of them? What if reincarnation is real - does whatever he came back as get instantly destroyed when he is revived? If Ted Williams is reborn as Harvey Spindleknob, and Harvey grows up to be an bus driver, and then one day Ted gets revived - who's left driving the bus? slapshot
There is no cure for DEATH. Once you die, you're dead.Unless there is some type of suspended animation for people currently suffering from a disease (like in Austin Powers when he was frozen for 30 years), y'ain't gonna bring'em back. winters in buffalo
If you truly believe that you can be cryogenically frozen and then revived when there's a cure, you should agree to be frozen BEFORE you die. Don't see anyone signing up for that deal now, do we?
