Dan Beebe's destruction of the BigXII should be on the Painful list. Really, the old Big8 and SWC merger good have been great, but when money starts creeping in, things change.

For the most part, I can see why ESPN ranked these as they did. But as a Husker at heart, I was surprised to see them on the list as often as they were - good and bad. And Kudos to Pianoknight and rainmaker. Fans are what make sports great - greater fans make greater sports
