I've posted a few things I have made for Sporting KC and the supporter's group, the Cauldron.

With this I would really like any pointers to make this better.

Really anything you have to say would be greatly appreciated. It's my first crack, so considering that I'm fairly pleased but I would like to improve.

It can still use a lot of refining, but it's better than anything I could do. For a first concept in Illustrator, good job!

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

The illustration looks really good, but the wordmark looks as if someone just stuck text on top of someone else's picture.

I'm thinking some arrangement like city name above the logo and mascot name below for it to work better, IMO. But I must reiterate, the rest of it really does look good.

Good start. One thing I would do is bend the wordmark so that it looks as if it's on the cauldron itself. That would solve the problem of it looking as though it has just been slapped ontop of someone else's picture.

I'm Danny fkn Heatley, I play for myself. That's what fkn all stars do.
