mania
For the Rangers, I don't know if there are any current players who deserve it yet.As far as past players who have yet to have their jerseys retired, #7 for Pudge is a must, #19 for Juan Gone will probably happen, and #25 for Palmeiro should probably happen, but I'd guess won't because of the steroid test.Of course, all three are currently being worn. So that throws another wrinkle into it. Off The Top Rope: A Pro Wrestling Podcast
Dexter Morgan
If they didn't care enough not to put the number back into circulation, why would they retire it?
RedSox44
Bumping a dead thread...For the Red Sox: 45 for Pedro, 34 for Papi, 24 for Dewey (and maybe as a joint retirement for Manny) and maybe 33 for Varitek. The "Pesky Rule" (waiving the Sox' Hall of Fame requirement for number retirement) will probably apply if the Sox choose to retire Varitek's and/or Dewey's number.Despite Clemens' fall from grace, I still think he should go into the Hall, as a Red Sox player. After all, he only met McNamee in 1998, after he left the Sox and went to the Jays.Of course, it's still possible that he had started the roids before he met McNamee...
