And I believe Shoeless Joe was banned just as much because Kenesaw Mountain Landis was an enormous pr/ck as much as anything else. The Black Sox players were all acquitted of their crimes, and Shoeless Joe's statistical record in the World Series does not lead to any proof that he participated in the wrong-doings.
