MellowTheMyth Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 So, supposedly, the city of Miami is looking to modernize Sun Life Stadium; saw it on the Dolphins website and led me to a link which was saying that the city of Miami is biding to host Super Bowl L (50) and it has a few pictures and a short video. Anyone else heard about this?http://www.miamifirst.com/
Jt0323 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Yeah its been something they been talking about for a couple of weeks. They actually tried to a similar modernization like this when Huizenga owned the team.
kw11333 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 There are more 50k stadiums in South Florida, than there is in all of Canada.
dirwuf Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Yep, it's being fastracked to get the financing done in time for the Super Bowl bid...Dolphins owner Stephen Ross will split the cost with a new tourist tax...pretty sure its going to go thru. Even if they don't get Super Bowl 50, it's worth it for future Super Bowls and to keep the Dolphins...
