I agree that they over reached for Monty. But as a Piston fan living in Phoenix, this is a great hire. The way he took the Suns from laughing stock to Finals appearance is what Detroit needs. Especially with how young this team is with Jaden, Cade, Duran and Wiseman. Just need a good veteran presence. Trade Bogdon and get some draft picks. The future is going up and just need the right coach.

I don’t think they will have the first pick. Kyler Murray will be out the first half of the year annd get used to a new offense . He’ll be safe as he is still rehabbing and participating in drills. Caleb Williams is basically a younger Kyler imo any ways. The defense is better than what people perceive and I think they will be top 5. I do think that they will be going Offensive Line and Defense. Because they do have some good options on offense. Hop had one good year with Cardinals as he was injured or suspended. Yes the Cards were stupid giving him that contract, they were trying to trade him, but no one bit, as the last regime put the new regime in this predicament.

From what I’ve been reading the contract that he had was the reason why he couldn’t get traded. Plus a lot of trades had them footing the contract or half the contract. The most that many more trades didn’t give more than a sixth round pick. Plus this saves them 19.5 Million dollars that can go towards Budda Baker.

I think North Carolina and State are a better fit for the B1G. Clemson, Miami, Virginia Tech and Florida State to the SEC, Virginia, Duke, NC and NC State to the B1G. Just seems like a natural fit imo for both sides
