I totally agree! If you didn't want to deal with the pressures of being a professional athlete, then why are you one? These guys need to get their heads out of their rear ends and be bloody grateful that they are doing what they love and are being paid ridiculous amounts of money for it as well. Comes with the job. Never going to happen. The WHL only allowed RG Properties to purchase and move the Chilliwack Bruins to Victoria to specifically prevent the AHL from coming to the capital. There was a very good chance that Victoria would have wound up with the Manitoba Moose if the WHL did not allow the relocation. It is too much of a lucrative location for the WHL and they would never give it up. Same goes for Nanaimo. They will see the WHL in the coming years as well.

Just to add to the wrongness...

The league needs to balance out the two conferences and I see it happening like this: - Panthers will relocate to Seattle taking Coyotes spot in Pacific Division and drops one team from the Atlantic Division. - Coyotes will relocate to Vegas (Yet another dumb move on the NHL's part) and stay in the west and moves to Central Division upon relocation to Vegas giving them 8 teams NHL will then add 2 more teams via expansion to go up to 32 (again another dumb decision by the NHL as they will go to another market that does not give 2 cents about hockey). They will expand to Quebec City to get as much money out of them as possible as expansion fee will be higher than relocation fee and expand to one other market in the western US. The Quebec team will go to the Atlantic Division and the western US team will go to the Central and Vegas would then move back to the Pacific. This of course is just a theory. Personally I only like 2 locations in this situation and want the league to be kept at 30, but since this is money driven that will not happen... Oh and lets not forget we have Bettman running the show so all logic goes out the window.

Im having issues with the forum site loading on my computer and phone. It keeps telling me that my connection has timed out. Here is the odd thing, i can access it on my phone when my wifi is turned off at home but as soon as its on, my phone can't access it. So i think there is an issue with the actual internet service. I am currently using Shaw and this is the first time ive ever had this problem. Anyone else had this issue before and if so, how can I fix it? (Other than just using my phone)

I think the story behind Brett Hull was that he was told that he might not have a chance at making the national junior team for Canada. When the Americans heard this, they told him that he would make the team and because his mother is American, he qualifies... Not sure on Adam Deadmarsh though.

I was curious about this. Isn't there a rule in the IIHF that says once you've played for one country internationally, you can't play for another? I know there is an exception to the rules with the former Soviet players playing for their true countries now, but for Nedved, I heard he wasn't allowed to play for the Czechs until now.

They only voted down using public funds... If the guy can get the private funding, the it will go... If he can't then it will be tanked. Personally I'm okay if it doesn't go ahead right now. I'd prefer seeing a team in Quebec City before a second team in Toronto right now.

The first one is the current Olympic jersey template (best I could do from what I have seen) and the other is the generic Swift template that Nike has been using the past few years.

Is there going to be an update with the new soccer templates? I know Adidas has that new one with the extended "V" down the front. I know Spain uses it now.

It's one of only two images I was able to find of him in an Avs jersey, and from the site it came from, it says it was a pre-season game and the C was worn by him for the 'inaugural' season in Colorado for the pre-season only. And it is one with the Avs in white helmets with white jerseys. I seem to recall they had black helmets with white helmets in their first season... Nolan was traded early in the season for Sandis Ozolinch.

Heard on The Hotstove during the second intermission on CBC that the city of Glendale has allowed for a $5 million shortfall with Jobing Arena. However the group who is wanting to buy the Coyotes has asked for $16 million for a shortfall... According to Glenn Healy, this is looking like ACTUAL end of the Coyotes in Phoenix. The vote for this is on June 23rd?? but the NHL wants it sooner. (My numbers may be off as I was attempting to do 2 things at once, but I did clearly hear Glenn say that this is the end of the Coyotes in Phoenix)
