  1. just to tide us over. Last season’s looks on the new cars. https://www.instagram.com/f1/p/CYzNAXxIiT0/?utm_medium=copy_link
  2. They aren’t out yet but the teasers are coming for the new cars. Aston Martin announced they will be the first to unveil their car on Feb 10. Here’s a Red Bull teaser (nothing really noteworthy). Looking forward to seeing the new cars in action.
  3. Correction. REDBLACKS vs white. That’s why they are/were the broke-ass oilers. (I promise eventually I’ll stop with the BASS jokes. Not today though.)
  4. yeah i caught that about the same time as you posted this.....auto correct screwed up my joke
  5. I have no issue pronouncing it what so ever. Have to disagree on that one. It's no Wocestershire sauce
  6. I unapologetically love that name and have followed suit with BASS as just using that name when I refer to the team.
  7. Oh I see. Shoot. But thanks for clarifying. I thought you meant there would be no black alternates going forward. Too bad. you totally should have said something
  8. Has anyone heard from @Gothamite? Is he ok? Still out celebrating?
  9. I’m quoting this just because it deserves reiterating Same with this.
  10. I’m not seeing anyone being smug. It’s a message board where we share opinions….but I digress. The reason people don’t like “Panther City” isn’t because of the reasoning Fort Worth has that nickname. Smart branding is about making it clear what you are selling. In this case, it’s not clear what city this team plays in. For me, the hardcore NLL fan, I looked up the name and I understand it. For someone who’s never really heard of the sport or is vaguely familiar they’ll go “weird name” and move on. They won’t be bothered to look things up. I’ve actually had someone tell me “it’s cool that San Antonio is getting an NLL team”. I asked them why they came up with that. They said the logo looks like a panther in front on the Alamo. So, to my point, the marketing clearly didn’t work. Could this person have looked up what the team is and why the name? Sure but they didn’t because they didn’t care enough. I think it’s fair to say that’s a marketing fail. Can you imagine if the Toronto Maple Leafs were called the Hogtown Maple Leafs”? It’s poor marketing and it doesn’t make sense to put yourself behind the 8 ball like that especially as a new franchise.
  11. You kind of just did, didn’t you?
  12. Yes we do. ...but I've said my piece before. Like @clonewars2008mentioned, nostalgia plays a role. So instead of going on about that (and potentially coming off as hostile, which is not my intention) I have to say: The striping on this version of the helmet is SO MUCH better. I wish they'd adopt this striping for the regular helmet,
  13. I’d go as far as to say that bad looking socks draw attention more than pants, jerseys or, helmets. Those are all the same and, beside pants length, can’t really change. Bad socks can :censored: up a whole uniform
  14. Word mark on pants and side panels? No thanks.
  15. Tim Horton's Field in Hamilton, On. Obviously more popularly known for the home of the CFL's Ti-Cats but Forge FC of the CPL call the stadium home.
  16. Well that’s just a change for the sake of a change.
  17. My sentiments exactly. Thanks for the insight!
  18. As in a new nickname for the team? Or just a new look?
  19. I want to like the new Cambridge blue pants…I just don’t. It just feels weird and I can’t explain why.
  20. I don’t think it looks ridiculous at all. now if the boat had a face and was smiling or angry…sure that’d be real stupid. Here’s the cool thing about the Argos; they have a whole catalogue of nice logos. Som prefer Jason with the shield (I admit I was one of those until I hit my 30s). the shield is a bit less “gimmicky” and it’s nice too. i like the football boat because of the teams roots of being a secondary activity the rowing team did to stay in shape in the off season. as a result, at least in my opinion, you can’t really go wrong
  21. Not bad. I kind of like that the top thin line is in the shape of the top of their logo. It's small enough of a detail that it isn't dominating the whole uniform.
