  1. Quoting myself.....kinda lame. Anyways, I went ahead and made the change. Hope this isn't too similar. the whole "mr.negative" thing, as previously explained, is an old inside joke. Time to move on.
  2. As a kid my mom used to call me that but I didn’t like Care Bears so I used to get upset. Lol.
  3. For the sake of loosing the silly nickname and not having anything else creative, I was thinking of just using the standard abbreviation of my name: Jer. There's a few "Jeremys" and "Jers" with numbers or initials (for example: Jerm or jerne) that aren't active (or barely are active). Plus i'm sure there are future Jeremys and Jerrys to sign up. Would this change be a case of being too similar? Just wanted to check before I pull the trigger.
  4. I'm considering it. There's been a number of times when I've posted something positive and had to make the "despite my username" joke. It's also a inside joke that was already at the end of it's lifespan when I signed up on the boards 10+ years ago....... I have no clue what I'd change my name to though.
  5. Agreed. If you feel strong enough to disagree with a post then you will. If you don't, then it's simply not worth any effort.
  6. My 2 cents for what it’s worth; DC; feels very old school and simple in a very good way. Love it. NY; best set. Classic style. I would break monochrome with this though and switch pants. Tampa; again I’d flip the pants. Love the green helmet. Underarm stripe doesn’t continue to the pants so I could live without it. St. Louis; I find the helmet busy but I get why it is. Probably the “ok-est” set. They’ll do. Houston; this feels like they don’t know what they want to be. Cowboys star. Oilers logo. Patriots pants. Just feels like a bunch of different elements. Dallas; I like this a lot. It’s modern and that’s ok. Like Tampa I think the bright/unique helmet colour is great. Sometimes something super modern is ok and I feel this look is that. Seattle; the white helmet was unexpected but it showcases the big dragon well. I’m good with it. I’d actually drop the orange helmet stripe too. Just focus on the dragon. The uniforms are ok but I hate wen pants striping and under arm jersey strips don’t match. Drop those elements (or match them) and it’d be better. LA; @Sodboy13 said it but the continuity of the pants and under arm jersey stripe is great. The overall look is not exciting but it matches and that’s good in my books. I wish they used a logo on the helmet not just the LA initials but that’s a different issue that involves the whole identity not just the uniforms. I’d say it’s all good or “ok” and only one that I don’t like at all.
  7. For me, @Ice_Cap, that's a close second to this:
  8. Would be interesting for sure. If people used it correctly. That said, you're likely to run into people who will just start "downing" (is that the right word? you know what I mean) everything that someone they don't like says.
  9. I used to get mixed up by this one a lot too In the top right corner of the page, click the drop down by your user name. Click "Account Settings". On that page there's a menu on the left side with the signature being one of the settings to edit.
  10. You are correct. When the original XFL was founded there was already an Xtreme Football League so they made it very clear at that time that the X stood for nothing. Interesting side note is that the other XFL merged with the AFL 2 before ever playing a game.
  11. I am experiencing the same. Have yet to encounter these pop ups and borders and such.
  12. I got it when I logged on for the day on the first page I was on. I would click the "X" and that would be it until I logged out for the day. But to answer your question; I donno. Just lucky I guess.
  13. So I get what you are saying now. I'm getting the pop up at the bottom on every page today, clicking on the "X" every time. I see now how that get frustrating.
  14. Like the jersey, not the logo. Looks like the "storm" has a fat lip
  15. To clarify, I wasn't complaining, just comparing. That said, yes, I would pay for that. If there was a "CCSLC premium" or something to that effect.
  16. I'm on my laptop, maybe that's the difference? Either way, very weird that it's inconsistent......and I hear you on "fat finger syndrome" lol.
  17. I find once i click the "X" on the bottom pop up it leaves until i navigate away from the boards.
  18. That'd be a pretty logical move. For that matter, it might even make more sense for Orlando to go to the AHL and Syracuse move to the ECHL making Tampa's call ups a little easier. (Thinking geographically only here)
  19. Yup..... just announced https://www.echl.com/board-governors-approves-changes-2018-19-season Word is that the Leafs will shift from Orlando to St. John's as their ECHL affiliate.
  20. They won't. Vince said that in the press conference thing yesterday.
  21. Yeah, me too. The Blue with red letters is just an awesome jersey. The hat he's wearing in that picture (red bill) is my "daily wear" hat, gone through a few of them over the years.
  22. That is a major difference when trying to compare the TV numbers for sure, no question. I keep that in mind with comment I made and with the comments I make below. To tie this back in to the Rays though, I moved to Hamilton this summer. I literally live within a 5 min walk to the stadium but I grew up (for 30+ years) in Brampton, just outside of Toronto. Toronto, during the summer, isn't even worth driving to when you live in Brampton/Mississauga/Oakville/Vaughan in my opinion due to the volume of traffic. I know a lot of other people who say the same. Taking the train into the city is an option, but there is 1 line that has all-day 2 way service which I would have to drive to first and then take the train. So, people like me who are CFL fans and would consider going to an Argos game might say "forget it" due to traffic/the hassle of getting there and just watch it on TV. I get the feeling that may be a similar thing going on with the Rays (obviously I don't know for sure, I have never been to Tampa Bay). Now, in Hamilton on the other hand, even with the stadium in the middle of a residential area and almost no parking options (seriously, people ask to park on my front lawn on game day) besides for street parking and the local strip plazas, they still draw really well. Even with the cluster-you-know-what that it is around the stadium on game day I would say that an hour after the game is over, the streets are clear again. It's not a pain to get to and traffic flows well. NOW; I realize there are other factors in play with the Rays, I'm only speaking to the what the TV numbers represent and my personal experience . But, if the TV presentation will do the trick I might even say that TV numbers being good might reflect that "TV is good enough" and, potentially for many reasons like the traffic situation I use as an example, that is keeping people at home and away from the stadium. I know I've heard this argument about the NFL before as well....but again, this thread is about the Rays and I'm really not trying to make it a football thread.
