  1. Sometimes on seemingly random board pages, while browsing on mobile, I get redirected to a page purporting to be from Google telling me that my phone has been damaged by a virus and that I need to download an app to clean it up. I've never done so, of course, but it is a major risk for someone maybe more trusting. Usually the domains are gibberish, but I think one time it was something like whatisthebestapp dot com.

I can't seem to find the option to change my signature.

Click on the drop down menu beside your name in the top right corner of the boards. Click on Account Settings. Should be the third or fourth one down in the menu on the left side.

Looking for this font "Monroe Police". I've tried versions of Serpentine, Air Milhouse Itc, Sofachrome, and SF Intellevised and there's elements in all of those fonts but none of them is the actual complete font. Need this for a work project so any help is greatly appreciated!!

    I believe that's SF Quartzite.

  4. I know it seems like a little thing, but would it be possible to get more detailed timestamps on posts? Like a specific date and time for posts rather than "Posted 19 minutes ago" or "Posted on 2 Feb 2014"? It would be helpful for some time-sensitive stuff in the fantasy sports forums.

Okay, I can't find where to edit my sig.  I'm probably being an idiot and am entirely missing it, but I can't find it.  I feel like I'm being "that guy" with four huge images on my sig and would like to get it down to two images.  Any help is much appreciated.

Go to the drop-down menu with your username/profile pic in the top right hand corner and select Account Settings. Then "Signature" is fourth from the left.

  6. Anyone know what font is being used for the Guitar Hero Live logo? I'm assuming it's a font that's been heavily modified and customized, but if anyone knows what the base is, that would be awesome.

Similarly, the Calgary Flames have been using sort of a similar font for their gameday social media posts. Any ideas? This one should be more commercially available:

  7. How do you join a fantasy league?

    • You have 6 months on the boards or 500 posts under your belt.

    • You wait until a league has an opening and opens up an application thread.

    • You fill out an application in that thread.

    • You wait and see if you're voted in by the existing league members.

  8. Anyone know what font this is? Where it says Home Opener?

To 'Home Opener' specifically, looks like Armada Black or Extra Bold. The rest of the writings (except the "United in Red" one) is also Armada, from Light to Regular to Bold.

    Mucho thanx!

You're welcome. Anyways, I bet you're curious of which font is close to the one in "United in Red" too, because so am I.

  9. Can anyone identify the fonts used for "Oregon", "Pacific Wonderland" and the "9P..."?

    or2013pacific.jpg

"Pacific Wonderland" looks like Franklin Gothic. Not sure on "Oregon." There are a few generic license plate fonts floating around the interwebs.

    How about this font?

  10. I need some help making an element for a logo. I am trying to arc text and am having some difficulty with it.

What I am going for is something like this: http://undhockey.areavoices.com/files/2012/01/northdakotajersey.jpg and/or this: http://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com/timesonline.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/c/ae/caed7fee-8fe0-11e4-9273-cbe7cdc65c5e/54a23174cbb18.image.jpg?resize=960%2C611

But what I'm getting is the text arced but the letters are all warped and it just looks awful. I would post a picture of what I have but I'm new to this thread thing and haven't figured that bit out yet.

FYI what I'm trying to do is an Indiana Hoosiers logo with "Indiana" arced on top and "Hoosiers" arced on the bottom and maybe the trident logo inside the text circle if that makes sense.

So if anyone could help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

PS I also posted this in photoshop help so if you're worried you're seeing double that's why

[Working with CS3] Probably the best thing to do is use the Type on a Path tool. Draw a circle that you want the text to follow, then select that tool (click and hold on the Type tool and it should pop up in a menu) and click on that circle. The circle will lose any formatting (stroke, fill) that you put on it, but you will see the blinking text cursor. You can adjust the endpoints, the midpoint (with the white arrow tool), whether the text goes on the inside or outside of the path, and all the usual text stuff (alignment, font, size, etc.). You will also likely want to fiddle with how far the text is set off from the baseline (the path, in this case). Under the Type menu, there is also a Type on a Path menu where you can set different options for how the text aligns itself with the path.

    Hope that helps.

  11. I'm curious how come I can't access the English premier league logos

Per the FAQ on the mothership:

Why aren't all the current English Premier League logos on the site?

Unfortunately a good majority of the EPL club teams were against being listed on a site which "was clearly designed with North American sports in mind", I didn't quite understand it either but after defending our position I ultimately respected their wishes. Not all the clubs objected, you can find their graphics on the site still.
