Really what I am noticing is there is a helmet paint template somewhere inside Hard Rock Stadium. The helmet Super Bowl Fields aren't my favorite because the secondary colors get used....but it's 100x better than what they have used the last couple of years. Although I guess last years field had one helmet on it.

I'll get back to fixing the Giants and Jets fields not too far off from now.
Here's an interesting one. Dolphins at Steelers week 12 2007, which was that monsoon 3-0 game on Monday night.
First half: Most of the paint had washed off. The Steelers had placed fresh sod ON TOP of the existing field sod the day of the game (so an entire field on top of another entire field; not the best idea), and due to the rain, most of the paint washed out.
Second half: Some lines were pained back onto the field at halftime. The hash marks on the sideline were pained orange.
Now that is attention to detail!
Great work as always!

Well, that was the end of an era yesterday. That was the final NFL game in the foreseeable future, to be played on a dirt baseball infield.

It's not a race man. I appreciate your time, effort and accuracy that you put in. Stay healthy this season!

They used the current orientation for the Raiders first stint in Oakland, at least late in the regular season. Sorry to get off topic in this awesome thread.

I seem to recall some of the Raiders preseason games had the field orientated this way. An end zone ticket for the regular season game would get you a 50 yard line seat for the preseason, albeit very far away.

I think with Detroit they are cutting in everything except the wording in the end zones and "Bubbles" in the center of the field. Ford field is used way too much for other football events. Though a field "overlay" might be used at mid field for the logo.
I agree with you. I think if this was a Lions, or NFL specific field, the inner hash marks would be sewn in also.

It's been done. Interesting that the fonts for the Giants were different between the helmet and script logo. The Bengals were the same way. -

I guess that means your calling mine inaccurate and assume I didn't put time into my work.
Sorry. I should have included you. You were NOT the reason for my complaint.

I think it should be a courtesy to not hijack a thread. @pitt6pack & @SFCOM1 put too much time and effort in to have inaccurate posts flooding their thread. That Rams field is an abomination.

Well @pitt6pack we have a little mystery as to what the Rams end zone will look like. Rams confirmed they are wearing the throwbacks, so I'd assume it will be blue with the gold. Will they use a helmet logo? Will they go totally official and use the white logos? I hope the conference logos return, but I think that ship has sailed.

The paint held up way better this year.

Keep an eye out Pitt. Reports on Twitter show the grounds crew forgot the hash marks over the Super Bowl logos. They were out there fixing it 2 hours before kickoff. It might not look normal.

Congrats on your work being featured on here Pitt!

I'd give a worst vote to XLIX. They botched the Patriots end zone.

It's always a struggle for me to watch the Rose Bowl. The end zone and the border are the same colors. They've started with a little green grass between the end zone color and the six inch out of bounds line, but it blends together.

First off, games on grass always look so much better and more colorful. The Super Bowl logo and the endzone designs in Super Bowl XLIX didn't look good, but the color was so much more vibrant than what we had seen the previous 4 Super Bowls when the game was on an artificial surface. Super Bowl 50 was actually a good looking field, and again, I think the game being played on grass really helped give more color to the endzones and the field logos.
And it was played in California and the first half was played in the daylight. Sign me up any time they want to have an outdoors west coast Super Bowl on grass!

They did. But you could barely see it.

The Eagles have green helmets, so green on green really won't work (in the duel helmet endzone era, the NFL always avoided the same endzone and helmet color, and even endzone and facemask color in some instances) I can do green on green, but I'll do a different version as well. I won't be able to do this until tomorrow evening, since I won't have access to my laptop with the fields on it until then.
I was thinking about this last night Pitt. Most wouldn't look too awkward with some teams recently changing to white helmets. But some of the team name scripts that wouldn't work well with the alternate end zone color. There are some exceptions....including this years.
Probable End Zone Color/Helmet

Dolphins - Aqua/White *Eagles - Black/Green
Jets - Green/White *Giants - Red/Blue
Patriots - Blue/Silver Redskins - Yellow/Burgundy

Ravens - Purple/Black Packers - Green/Yellow

Colts - Blue/White Buccaneers - Red/Pewter
Jaguars - Teal/BlackGold Falcons - Red/Black
*Texans - Red/Blue Panthers - Black/Silver

Almost looks like the same size script template from SB-XXXIX.

I came up with a new laziness fear. The Eagles script without the shadow and outline.
