  1. Oh man, I wouldn't wish that upon poor Peyton. And I don't think the cap penalty would have mattered. Peyton is a smart guy, there is no way he honestly would have thought that he was a better fit in Washington than in Denver. The only players that come to Washington are free agents looking to get PAID so they can coast the rest of their career comfortably. Peyton isn't that. And last part of my self-deprecating rant: If that picture above was real and Peyton did sign with the Redskins, is there ANY chance he'd still be playing right now? I say, none whatsoever and his legacy would be tarnished. You'd have to remember his career in spite of what he did as a Redskin. If that picture was real, realistically we'd all be talking like: "Wow, can you believe it's already been 2 years since Peyton Manning died? Remember him?"
  2. Maybe if the pants stripe meshed a bit better with the jersey. And if the helmet didn't have about 15 helmet stripes. And if the numbers weren't double outlined
  3. Oakland. If he does have a "right" uniform, I'd say it's Arizona. He made the All Star Game twice while there. Meanwhile... News to me: Lorenzo Cain was once a Brewer
  4. Jonathan Papelbon Jose Reyes And Carlos Gomez on the Mets... still wrong
  5. Yeesh, how embarrassing. I have much to learn about Keith Hernandez. I only know him from the Mets and Seinfeld.
  6. Yeah, it really is terrible. Should have gone back to purple instead of adding navy blue.
  7. (Found it on Google... sure enough it was from CCSLC and a similar thread: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/84264-jerseys-you-didnt-think-were-used-at-the-same-time/?p=1695713)
  8. I remember someone once said the current Brewers logo looks like it was the product of a corporate think tank. I always thought that was spot on. It has no heart. It looks like it was made by a bunch of suits in a boardroom. I don't think the Brewers have found their best look yet. It's out there somewhere, keep looking. I do think this is in the right ballpark though:
  9. If he had not died of cancer after coaching one year...and had gone on to win several Super Bowls with the Redskins, we may view it differently. Lombardi had full control of the team and stock in the team. George Allen took over the team and went to the Super Bowl the year after, so it's quite possible that he would have built a legacy in D.C. also. I'm starting to think the Redskins are cursed... Definitely cursed
  10. Wow I had no idea about this. I remember Matt LaPorta was supposed to be the big "can't miss" prospect in that trade. Funny how the world works.
  11. This hat doesn't get enough love when it comes to the Best Hat in the MLB discussion I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say it's the best, but it deserves to be in the conversation. And I can't emphasize enough how much better it looks compared to the alternate hat with the white outline around the logo
  12. A walking petri dish of STD's?Something tells me none of the dimes that Jeter has bagged have STD'sJessica Alba doesn't scream gonorrhea to me EDIT: I just googled "Jessica Alba Jeter"... I might have to retract my above statements (gulp) Lights Out, my good man, carry on. I'll show myself out
  13. Really? Hopefully your statement isn't connected with his sexuality. Really? All this guy did was make a true statement: Michael Sam did not succeed in the NFL. You might be reading a little too much into it. Nah, I don't think he is. I also thought there was some passive homophobia behind it. Why show him in a CFL jersey? If that's where he belongs, why mention or show it? This isn't a thread showing players in their right uniform. I think it was a passive jab at Michael Sam, but hey what do I know? I promise I'm not worked up about it or care too much either way, I'm just saying I can see where the Insane Guy is coming from. How he interpreted it was exactly how I interpreted it also when I first read it.
  14. Maybe this has been posted, but if not: Jabari Parker wearing this year's Bucks uniform Also, Angel Pagan on the Cubs
  15. Jason Kidd only wore these for a season: Old Penny Hardaway on the Heat
  16. I know I've said this before, but I would have the Caps look like this: The red, white, and blue thing, I get it, nation's capital and all that. But this was the color scheme and look I grew up with watching the Caps. To me, this is how they should look. We don't need the all black uniform with the Capitol Building logo on the front, no thanks. (And ps, I'd wear the white jerseys at home)
  17. Its an alright logo, but anything's better than the stupid stick-in-rink (yes, even the orca is better). Agreed. I actually like the orca logo.
  18. Good god I miss those Timberwolves uniforms And young KG
  19. Maybe it's been posted, but Carlos Gomez as a Met and as a Twin
  20. This may already be in this thread, but I stumbled upon it today and thought it couldn't hurt to add it on here. Thought it was kinda cool how they made the ribbon for the 116 wins come off the sides of the '01 banner.
