Xtreme. If I remember correctly XFL was acronym to Xtreme Football League.
It was never Xtreme. Only the indoor football league was the Xtreme Football League. The outdoor spring league born in 2001, and the rest, were merely XFL.
The original league's Los Angeles team (and champions) were, however, the Xtreme.

I hope the NFL makes a few more legal threats, and that the UFL wises up and changes the team's identity to the Gamblers.
They're not changing. I just hope they fix the dumb helmet.

I don't disagree, but the Sun Bowl has been around since 1936(?), and CBS has been broadcasting it for 50+ years, so they should have some idea about where it is!

So the Sun Bowl just started on CBS and the intro graphics prominently featured saguaro cactuses, because, you know, all deserts are the same.
But saguaro cactuses are features of the Sonora desert (up through Arizona), and El Paso is in the Chihuahuan desert, which features yuccas and creosote.
C'mon, CBS. Do better.

The Houston Roughnecks dropped a goodbye message in social media today but now I can't find it! Maybe it'll be the Gamblers after all.

Looks great, but the sleeve between the two maroon jerseys should be silver.

It's already unraveling

Love it. But if you zoom in on the back of the blue jersey, there are some leftover red lines.

With all these teams coming out of nowhere day after day, it's starting to feel like the ABA 2000, where if you had $50 and a basketball, you, too, could have a franchise.

Arizonan here, the move to Glendale will cost the Rattlers some fans. It's an extra half hour drive w/o traffic, light rail doesn't go there, etc. Don't know how popular a new team will be but I'm guessing it'll have a shot.

They really are going small markets. But then again, the IFL just expanded to Fishers, Indiana...

Birmingham won the title
I said "what do I know"!
My bad, I was thinking of the conference championship. I knew they played in the title game.

I gotta think that one way or another the Maulers will survive, even if they're sharing the Canton hub. They're relatively close and they did win the championship. But what do I know?!

"[Amy Adams] Strunk’s family does [own] the Oilers logos, uniforms, and colors..."

Maybe they got it wrong, but companies can trademark colors and prevent other companies within the same business from using them.
Titans/Strunk may let the Texans use the colors, but can probably stop them too.

I 100% believe that's a bogus rumor someone on the boards pulled out of their ass and CCSLC geeks ran with.

"The franchise changed its name to the Titans prior to the 1999 season, but still owns the rights to all things pertaining to the Oilers."

To me it seems like they are doing it just so the Texans cant lay claim to the identity in any way.
They CAN'T. The Titans own it.
