A lot are like that. Not everybody wants to/can spend $300+ on an authentic. 

We've all seen inaccurate NFL jerseys on the backs of hundreds of people. It's not a big deal to 99% of the world - just us!

Where are you hearing orange and sand? 

I have to concur, the numbers are the weakest part of the Machine unis. 

Wow it was just a click-switch redesign. Purple becomes black, orange becomes gold, cash the check. 

I was going to agree practice video shows one side, but I thought it was right side. Whichever, it seems they're trying as hard as they can to mimic the Steelers. 

So the Baby Steelers did indeed go one-sided with the helmet logo. 

So many things they could have done, instead they asked themselves "What Would the Steelers Do?"

Skyhawks are military aircraft, which is alluded to in the three aircraft with contrails in the original logo. I dig it.

In the 90s/00s, each team had things like this, combination logo and initial. 

Though it didn't win, I'm glad you kept the Hotshots logo as a secondary.

Not sure that's true. The Arizona Rattlers indoor football team has a family-friendly snake mascot. 

I know some of the reason for the bobcat is that their ballpark's first title sponsor was Bank One, so Bank One Ballpark, or the BOB, was a thing for awhile.

1. I thought the bright green DID work. 

2. I don't think it matters that the mascot isn't city/region specific. Detroit Lions. Chicago Bears. Boston Red Sox. I know those are legacy mascots but I doubt people had a problem with them.

Not trying to be a contrarian, @Cujo, but I thought that original logo was too busy for the helmet. Their lid was my least favorite of the second XFL iteration.
