We've all seen inaccurate NFL jerseys on the backs of hundreds of people. It's not a big deal to 99% of the world - just us!

Let me be the one to coin "WFWS" ... unless someone already beat me to it.

There you go, the alt helmet that @TruColor was told about.

I completely missed that discussion, @Kiltman. Thanks!

Where are you hearing orange and sand?

I have to concur, the numbers are the weakest part of the Machine unis.

Wow it was just a click-switch redesign. Purple becomes black, orange becomes gold, cash the check.

I was going to agree practice video shows one side, but I thought it was right side. Whichever, it seems they're trying as hard as they can to mimic the Steelers.
-
So the Baby Steelers did indeed go one-sided with the helmet logo.

So many things they could have done, instead they asked themselves "What Would the Steelers Do?"

Thank you for fixing the

So we know that Atlanta and St. Louis will be new teams in 2006, and the third team that will get a new Reebok uni in 2006 is the Chicago Machine. No poll on this one as we are prepping for polling on both 2008 expansion clubs, but Chicago will get a makeover for 2006 and then in 2007 I am looking at New Jersey, LA (again!!??!!) and Orlando. 2008 will be two expansion clubs and the Maulers.
So, a timeline of new looks:
2006: ATL, STL, CHI
2007: NJ, LA, ORL2008: PIT, Expansion 1, Expansion 2
2009: TBD
I gotta think Texas could use an update. Lot of ways you could go.

@nmsuaggieI'm glad you posted the Trooper, because I was going to myself! EHS '82!

Seahawks describes avian creatures that makes their home by the sea. Nighthawks describes avian creatures that are nocturnal in their activity. Skyhawks? They’re hawks, so it goes without saying that they’re active in the sky. The modifier isn’t necessary.
Skyhawks are military aircraft, which is alluded to in the three aircraft with contrails in the original logo. I dig it.

Don't succumb to pressure and change the Maulers colors!

In the 90s/00s, each team had things like this, combination logo and initial.

Though it didn't win, I'm glad you kept the Hotshots logo as a secondary.

What do you reckon I should do with the Stallions? I am likely to progress to their current USFL look but considering these are one of the top 5 looks of the old USFL... I am conflicted.
Red helmet, gold horse. It won't look like the Niners anymore.

TIL the D-Backs mascot isn't a snake.
They couldn't make a family friendly snake mascot, according to the motherships "The Story Behind the Nickname" article.
Not sure that's true. The Arizona Rattlers indoor football team has a family-friendly snake mascot.
I know some of the reason for the bobcat is that their ballpark's first title sponsor was Bank One, so Bank One Ballpark, or the BOB, was a thing for awhile.

The Orlando Guardians should have utillised their cities' Basketball team identity to their favour and had the Guardian logo as a sorcerer or spell caster ( Harry Potteresque Dumbledore?) or a Magician, Wizard or a Power Being etc.
The Orlando Power Beings!

1. I thought the bright green DID work.
2. I don't think it matters that the mascot isn't city/region specific. Detroit Lions. Chicago Bears. Boston Red Sox. I know those are legacy mascots but I doubt people had a problem with them.

Not trying to be a contrarian, @Cujo, but I thought that original logo was too busy for the helmet. Their lid was my least favorite of the second XFL iteration.

A lot are like that. Not everybody wants to/can spend $300+ on an authentic.
